Right now, Thomas was in James Madison's dorm, bawling his eyes out on his couch because of another one of his stupid arguements with Alex. His boyfriend. He couldnt even remember what he was mad about.

Thomas hated it. He hated how he and Alex were fighting all the time. He hated how lately they just couldnt seem to get along. He hated how it seemed to be an endless, escapeless cycle.

Fight

Cry

Kiss

Repeat

After everyone of their fights, either Thomas or Alex would apologize and they would kiss, knowing fully that there would most likey be another fight tomorrow. But this time, Thomas was going to break that cycle.

As he thought about it some more, his thoights drifted to what he had learned in Psychology class today. The words of his professor echoed in his mind.

"Most people fall out of love for the same reason they fell in it."

When he heard those words today they resonated in his mind, making him reflect on his own relationship.

When he had first fallen for Hamilton, he had admired his hard work ethic, his unstoppable mouth, and his strong opinions. He thought that the way Hamilton always strived to do his best and to be the best were endearing. The way he would fall asleep at his computer or desk whoe doing work proved to Thomas that he was dedicated. But that was before.

Looking at Hamilton now, he only saw him as neglecting, immature, and stubborn. His mind was always buried in work, leaving Jefferson to alone most nights. He would fight for what he wanted, not giving any thought to what Jefferson wanted. He was childish, always throwing a child-like fit when he didnt get what he want. He couldnt and wouldnt compromise.

It hurt to see how much his view of Alex had changed in only a few months. Suddenly, that feeing of sadness was overwhelmed by a bubble of pure anger.

How could he have fallen for such an ungrateful, selfish bastard?

"Thomas, its almost 11pm."

James' voice shook (s h o o k e t h) him from his thoughts, causing his head to snap up. He wiped away the tears from his face, feeing how piffy and strained his eyes were now.

"You wanna stay here tonight or go home?" James mumbled next to him on the couch.

"I'll go home. I have somethings i need to do," Thomas said back, his voice a little scratchy from crying. James nodded and the pair of them stood up. Thay walked towards the door and James opened it for him.
