Sorry Doesn't Change Anything

Tommy POV
We were at Adam's apartment, trying to brainstorm ideas for original songs. Having just finished jamming out to Metallica together, no one had any doubts that this band would work really well.

"Hang on a minute, I have a notepad where I write down song ideas. Lyrics, I mean. They're not very good but I could show you guys..." Adam suggested, his voice trailing off at the end. Obviously, he was self conscious about this but something told me he shouldn't be.

Adam's a phenomenal singer by the way. It just works to make him even more attractive, especially when he sings those low notes. I had to repress a shudder on more than one occasion.

A few minutes later, Adam came back into the room with a neon pink notebook tucked under his arm. I had to roll my eyes at that. I didn't see neon pink as Adam's colour, but with looks like his he could probably take any colour and make it his bitch.

Anyway, moving on from Adam's, to be blunt, unnatural hotness.

Everyone went quiet, looking at Adam as he just held the notebook in his hand. Eventually Isaac rolled his eyes and snatched it out of Adam's grasp. He opened it to the first page.

"Whataya want from me?" He asked.
"Well, I want you to read some of Adam's lyrics," exclaimed Cam, exasperatedly.
"That's what I was doing! Look!" He held the page open for Cam to see. She read through the first song idea before handing it to me.

Quickly, I read through what Adam had written. When I looked up from the notebook, Isaac and Cam were both staring at me while Adam gazed at his shoes. A light blush spread across his face as he waited for an opinion.

Seeing as I was the one getting stared at I figured they wanted my thoughts first.
I tried to put together something intelligent in my head but my mouth obviously didn't get the memo as I just blurted out my first thought.

"It's really fucking good..." I said with a shrug.
"Let's use it," Isaac added.
Cam just nodded excitedly.

Adam blushed bright red at the praise and let that dazzling smile grace his lips.
"Okay," he said quietly, "Thanks"

Soon we'd worked out an instrumental for our song 'Whataya want from me?' It was still a bit rough, but Adams vocals were amazing and it's pretty good progress for our first meet up as the band Nothing To Hide.

Suddenly, Isaac and Cam both claimed they had somewhere to be, leaving Adam and I alone in his apartment. Cam winked at me on the way out. I started to wonder if they really had to go. Either way, I was secretly grateful for some alone time with Adam.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••

About an hour later, we were both sat on Adam's sofa talking. We had just eaten lunch, where we only talked about the band and a few more song ideas and things. But now we were properly talking; about our lives and ourselves. I was just explaining when I first picked up a guitar and how I knew I wanted that to be my future.

A sparkle seemed to flash in his eye as he told me that he knew it would happen:

"It will be your future Tommy Joe, because you're amazing. I think you're amazing." He leaned it slightly, me following his lead. Just as our lips met, the door of Adam's apartment swung open and a man who looked a lot like Adam came bursting in.
