Carolyn's POV:
I felt my heart beating fast. I was alone with two attractive boys in some random town. Sodapop was very attarctive as well and made me blush but I blushed even more when Ponyboy walked out. His brown hair perfectly styled. The way he talked and the way he looked in his sleevless shirt and blue jeans. I bet the girls in this town really liked him. Johnny was cute too. They were both so nice.
We started walking down the street. "So where, exactly are we going again?" I asked. "Down town to meet Dally." Johnny said. "Yeah we'll show you 'round." Ponyboy seemed shy. "So how old are you guys?"
"Seventeen." Ponyboy said. "Me too." I smiled excited. "Really?!" he said bringing his brown eyes to mine. "Yeah." Perfect we were the same age.
"I'm eightteen." Johnny said putting his hands in the pockets of his jean jacket. What? He looked younger! He was tanned and has black hair and was a little bit taller than Ponyboy.
"Really?"
"Yeah people think I'm younger."
"Did Two-Bit tell you 'bout the Socs?" Ponyboy said.
"Yeah. He told me to never be alone. He said you were jumped."
"Oh yeah." He said looking down seeming a little embarrassed that he told her that. "Stick with us you'll be okay." Johnny said. "I will."
We got to the corner of the street of where Dally was lighting a cigarette. I didn't smoke but I didn't care if they smoked the smell just bothered me but I acted like it didn't.
"Hey what's goin' on Dal?" Ponyboy said putting his hand on his shoulder. "Yeah whats up?" Johnny said. He ignored them and looked at me. "Hey blondie." He said with a smirk flicking his chin. He was starring me down, I blushed like crazy. I was surrounded by three attractive boys. I guess that was his nick name for me now. Ponyboy and Johnny told him to cut it out.
"What do you wanna do?" Pony said putting his hands in his pockets.
"Nothin' legal man, lets get out." Dally said starting to walk as we followed. My heart stopped. What did that mean? I wasn't really up for getting into trouble but I kept that to myself and followed. Dally really was the bad boy of the group. Two-Bit told me he had been in jail before and has got in trouble with the police. A girl walked by us and Dally checked her out.
We followed him to a gas station where he started talking to a guy they knew in his car. I felt awkward and stood close to Pony. I was the only girl there and didn't know anyone. Our attention turned away when we saw a fight begin. A guy punched another guy in the face and he punched him back throwing him up against a car. My jaw dropped and my heart pounded. Dally stopped to watch and we just followed. One of the guys pulled out a switch blade on him I thought for sure my heart was going to stop. The sound of a police siren made us stop watching and move along as the cops showed up.
Later we went to the DX gas station that Soda and his best friend Steve worked at. I hadn't met Steve yet and I was about to. "Soda here come the hobos." He said as we walked up. "accept for one..." he said realizing I was there. "Who's this?" he said staring me down the way Dally did. Why did they all do that?
"Carolyn. Family friend of Two-Bit's. She staying with him for the next three weeks." Pony said. "What's a pretty girl like you doin' with these bums?" Steve said to me. I felt myself blush again but it wasn't noticeable. "Shut your trap." Pony said rolling his eyes. Dally begged Steve for money for new wind shield wipers and when he gave it to him we left.
It was the evening, getting close to sunset and we decided we were gonna see a movie at the drive in.
"So what's the movie about?" Johnny said. Dally playfully head locked him and pretended to punch him as we continued walking. "Ow Dallas... huh?" Johnny said lighting another cigerette.
"I don't know Johnny. One of those beach movies."
"When is it?" I asked. "Later. When it's dark." Dally winked. We turned a corner. To find some kids playing cards on the grass. Dally decided to mess with them, scaring them to get away which I thought was a little mean but it was only a joke. He began chasing the kids. Johnny ran too. I didn't. Ponyboy surprisingly didn't run either and stayed back with me. "He does that a lot." he smiled. "Its kind of funny." I said as we watched them. "Even though he messes around a lot he's a good guy." Was he referring to him flirting with me? "I'm sure he is." I smiled. "So uh... do you... smoke?" he said looking up at me as we were still walking to catch up with Dally and Johnny. "No, I actually don't."
His went a little pale. "Oh, I'm sorry we were smokin' around you earlier, I didn't know I'm such a-"
"It's okay! You didn't know and I don't mind if you smoke around me. I just choose not to do it."
"You sure?" He said with a look that made my heart melt.
"Positive. But thanks for being considerate." I looked at him with a reassuring smile. He was adorable.
"Alright. It's nothin'." he winked.
He actually cared. Most people don't. That just made me even more attracted to him.
