Ponyboy's POV:
It hurt more than ever to see Carolyn leave me. I cried and Two-Bit supported me. He brought me back home where Darry was.
"It'll be alright Ponyboy, she'll come this summer."
"But what about when we have to go to college." I said with my tears starting to dry up.
"You can figure it out when it happens. Don't worry 'bout that for now you'll see her this summer." Darry said.
After a little bit I got myself together and went to my room. Everything felt so much quieter. I sat down at my desk in my room again where I had left the letter and the book. I sat there and thought for a moment about her, Johnny, Dally, Two-Bit, Darry, Soda, Steve and all that has happend. A grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and began writing. I knew exactly what to write for my term paper.
When I stepped out, into the bright light, from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home.
