It's my 5th year at Hogwarts and My boyfriend Oliver wood has convinced me to try out for quidditch. Ive always loved watching the games but I've never thought about playing. Since Oliver is the most committed player ever he never stops talking about the game. He's been telling me to play forever even when we were just friends, we wouldn't be on the same team since I'm a ravenclaw but he wants me to try out. The tryouts are after lunch and it is currently lunch. I'm pretty much freaking out, I mean I know how the game works but I've never actually played. Oliver must have noticed me freaking out. "Babe you're going to do fine" he smiles at me
"But oli what if I mess up, and make a fool out of myself" I sigh looking down
"Y/n I'll be there the whole time ok, and if you get nervous just look at me alright" Oliver says calming me down
Then dumbledore stood up and announced that Ravenclaw quidditch tryouts are starting, so Oliver and I stand up and leave along with a few other people in my house. I get outside and grab my broom, I hug Oliver and he kisses my cheek before I run into the field. After ten minutes of kinda learning the basics we start a scrimmage game, I get out as a chaser. I look at Oliver and he gives me a thumbs up making me laugh. I go through the scrimmage and I'm doing surprisingly amazing! I got the quaffle past the keeper about 5 times, Oliver's face was so happy. After the scrimmage some of the other people were asked to leave, guess they didn't make the team. There were only about 9 people on the field, a few were already on the team and then there are the ones who tried out. The captains told each one of us what position we will get, when they look at eachother and then at me. Then they tell me I'm a main chaser, I say thank you and smile. Oliver must have heard the whole thing because after tryouts I turned around to leave the field and I see Oliver and his quidditch friends running to see me.
"You did it baby!" Oli says as he picks me up and spins me around I laugh and then kiss him because if it wasn't for him I would not have tried out.
"You better be ready babe cause my team is gonna beat yours" I smile and he laughs
"I don't know about that but I'm glad you got on the team Y/n" Oliver says then he kisses me which surprises me
"You're a keeper" I say laughing at my own joke, at first oli didn't look like he got it but then he smirked at me and started laughing as well. It was a good day
