"y/n! It's time to get up!" My mom yells from down the stairs
"Ugh" I sigh sitting up in my new bed. Just a couple days ago my family moved to a small suburb in Detroit.
I exit my room and walk down stairs.
"Morning mom" I smile rubbing my eye
"Morning hun excited for your first day!" Mom exclaims with a grin
"It's just another highschool mom" I laugh eating some bacon
" I know y/n but you get to meet new people" mom says
"Whatever" I sigh
"Hey I know you miss your friends but you'll meet new ones! that family down the street, the weir's yeah they are really nice and they have a girl your age" mom smiles
"Cool" I reply setting my plate in the sink
I go to the bathroom and fix my hair before going to my room and getting dressed.

I rush out of the house hugging my mom and running to the bus stop.
At the bus stop I see 2 girls one shorter wearing a green army jacket and the other girl tall and skinny wearing a conservative sweater.
The bus stops and we all get on.
"What's your name?" The driver asks
"Y/n L/n" I say
"Ok miss L/n you'll be sitting by miss Weir in row 9" the driver says so I walk to row nine and sit next to the girl in the green jacket
"Hi I'm Lindsey" she smiles
"I'm y/n" I say back
"So you're new to McKinley high" she says
"Uh yeah I am" I smile
"That's cool! I can show you around if you want do you have your schedule?" She asks
"Yes I do" I smile handing her my paper
"Oh wow this is great we have a lot of classes together!" Lindsey says
"That is good you're the only person I know" I laugh
" But before we get there are you ok with skipping classes?" She asks
"I always skip" I laugh
"My friends are pretty big on skipping so I'm sure you'll fit in" she smiles
We arrive at school and I walk in with Lindsey. As soon as I open the door I see all the different groups. The jocks picking on the nerds of course. The small freshmen. The pretty girls. The geeks. And the odd group walking towards Lindsey and I? Well I have no idea what to call them.
"Lindsey!!!" A tall blonde girl says Followed by 3 boys
"Who are they?" I whisper to Lindsey
"Those are my freaks" Lindsey says getting punched in the arm by the blonde
"What's up brain" the girl says
"Not much whats up Kim!" Lindsey says
"Who's this chick" a tall guy with shaggy curly hair says
"Guys this is y/n, she's totally one of us" Lindsey says confidently making the guys smile
"Is she a brain like you?" Kim says looking me up and down
"Who cares shes pretty" the chubbier guy says which gets him an elbow to the ribs from the guy in the middle
"Sorry bout him im Daniel" the freak now known as Daniel says with a large grin and I instantly fall in love!
"I'm nick" the tall guy says getting my attention by sticking his hand out in my face "And I'm ken" the other guy says
"Nice to meet you guys" I smile shaking Nick's hand
"Ugh come on let's go to class" Kim scoffs at the attention im getting
Daniel doesn't waste a minute to get next to me and stay there.
"So you're new" Daniel smirks
"Daniel Lay off its her first day" Lindsey says confusing me
"Alright whatever see ya later" Daniel says with a wink
I go to class with Lindsey and she tells me all about her friends.
"And then there's Daniel" Lindsey starts and I smile
"What don't tell me you like him!" Lindsey smiles
"What! No...." I say trying not to smile
"Yes you do!!!" Lindsey exclaims
"Shhh! Can't you just tell me about him, the good stuff at least" I giggle
"Well first of all good pick, but he's Kim's ex" Lindsey says
"Oh god" I sigh
"But I think she moved on last I heard she liked Todd so you have some sort of chance" Lindsey says
We talk about Daniel most of class and then the bell rings and we make our way to lunch.
"You two would be cute!" Lindsey says as we enter the cafeteria
"Who would look cute together!" Daniel says walking behind us with Nick
"Um no one" Lindsey and I smile
"Okk well hows your first day going?" Daniel smiles at me running his fingers through his hair
"Uh it's good, great! In fact" I say mentally face palming myself ugh why did I say that I bet he thinks I'm weird
"I'm glad you like it" Daniel smiles again.
"Ugh the lunch looks gross " I sigh
"Always is. Here follow me " Daniel says and I don't hesitate for a second
We go out into the school parking lot and he hops into a car.
"Where are we going?" I ask getting in the car
"To get some real food" he says happily
"Alright" I smile
We drive to a small pizza place and get 2 slices. Daniel and I go out and sit on the curb together. We talk a bit and make jokes
"Here you have something on your face " he says
"oh! Where" I say
"Right here" Daniel says leaning in
Before I know it he's kissing me and of course I kiss back!!
"You're pretty cool y/n I like you " Dani smiles
"Thanks Daniel I like you too" I chuckle
We drive back to school not being able to stop smiling
