Draco malfoy

It's sixth year and my father and I are making our annual before school visit to Malfoy manor.
Yes my father is a death eater and I understand that is wrong but father says I just have to play the part.

"Now you know Lucius has just been taken to Azkaban so Draco and Narcissa May not be the most homely" dad says as we drive.

"Yes I know" I smile to myself thinking of Draco. We've been best friends since second year. Even though he can be bitter he is very misunderstood. We both talk about how we don't wish to become death eaters like our parents but it seems inevitable

We enter the large black gates and drive up to the dark manor.
We park the car and get to the door. It opens on its own and we are welcomed in by a cheer of voices. I can identify most of the crummy people in the room but I can't seem to find Draco.

"Y/n dear come see narcissa" father says grabbing my arm
I'd always liked narcissa. She's basically been a mother figure to me since my mother died

"Oh y/n it's so nice to see you!" She says with gloomy eyes. I can understand her pain I mean it's not everyday the one you love most is sent to Azkaban.

"Hi Mrs Malfoy" I give a sweet smile and hug her

"Draco Should be in his room. He doesn't come out very often I'm sure he'll be happy to see you" she says with a broken smile

I walk up the large stairs to the room I practically grew up in playing games with Draco

"Draco are you in? It's your favorite person!" I smile to myself

I hear a movement from inside the room then the door opens revealing a dreary eyed messy haired Draco wearing green pjs and a white tee

"Oh Draco are you alright" I sigh and he sniffles

"Come here"I say engulfing him in a hug
I feel him hold me tight as he lets it go and starts silently sobbing

"I let them do it y/n. I don't know what to do" he cries

"Draco tell me what happened" I state. I grab his hands and we both sit on his bed

"I don't know what I was thinking" he sobs to me as he pulls up his sleeve to uncover the dark mark of the lord himself. I watch as the snake swirls out of the skulls mouth.

"Oh no Draco" I gasp and he covers it back up

"I'm sorry" he starts to say

"It's alright I promise you'll be ok" I try to be positive but I'm not sure what might happen to Draco now

"Thank you y/n" he says leaning into me again

"Anything for you" I say wiping tears off of his cheeks

I let him calm down, he lays down so his head is in my lap and I can play with his hair which I know he loves. I use my wand to put some soft music into the record player.
I hum softly and Draco lets his puffy red eyes close.
I lose track of time and before i know it Draco has drifted to sleep.
I slowly pick up his head and place a pillow where I was.
I leave his room and fix my hair going back down to the party.

"Y/n darling there you are!" Father says waving me over

"Hi dad" I put on a fake smile
