"OK ladies, are we all in position?" Zodiac said through the phone in Envy's hand.
"yes sir." they all replied.
"good. Alright, I will inform you when the three girls arrive, then you're on your own. The rest will be down to you."
"no pressure then." donuts mumbled.
"girls, I can't stress to you just how important this mission is. You can't fail. Sugar, donuts, envy: this is the hardest mission I've assigned you. You have never faced other assassins before. Go out there and make me proud. Demon, diamonds: this is your one and only chance to prove to me that you are good enough for us. You will only become a true SP with complete success."
The girls nodded. At the right times, zodiac was really supportive, and gave out the best advice. He was so inspirational.
" we're gonna be fine!" sugar tried to calm everyone's (including her own) rising nerves." look, there are three of them, and five of us. We're gonna beat them!"
"sure." demon said sarcastically.
"I am the sarcastic one demon. Cheer up, and be optimistic." zodiacs voice came from the phone again. "envy, I'm hanging up. I'll call you when the girls arrive. OK?"
"yep."
"yes what?"
"yes sir!" the girls said together. They smiled - they were nervous as hell, and the worse case scenario could be their death. But, zodiac was still reminding them to say sir. He hung up, and envy switched the phone off. They Sat there, shivering. It was the middle of the night after all. Diamonds looked back through the window. It was dark, but she could just make out the classrooms.
"malteser anyone?" sugar offered them round. Everyone popped them in their mouth, except envy.
"I thought you had bullet maltesers?" she said. Everyone froze.
"um.." she bit into her own one. The girls held their breath.
"nope, all clear!"
They sighed in relief. Suddenly, the phone rang. Envy nearly had a heart attack. She answered it, and put it back on speaker phone.
"they're here! Girls, I'm off. Go get them!" he said before hanging up. The girls grabbed their weapons and crowded round the windows. They had a perfect birds eye view.
"they're here, they're here!" sugar squealed as she heard their footsteps on the stairs. Closer and closer until:
"guys.."
"no way.."
"this isn't what zodiac said.."
"this can't be happening.."
"we're going to die.."
Sugar swore under her breath.
"envy, the phone."
Envy passed it over, and sugar called zodiac.
"what do you want? You should be fighting by now!" zodiac growled at her.
"zodiac - there are six of them."
"what do you mean?!"
"there are six assassins! I can see it with my own eyes!"
There was a bit of swearing.
"OK, go out and take one each. Leave the leader to me. Got it?"
Sugar nodded, shaking slightly.
"I'll be there as soon as possible, I'm on my way now. Hang tight, fight strong. GO!"
She hung up, and they smashed the windows. They leapt through, and landed in different positions on the floor.
"come on, they went that way."
Donuts pointed to her left. They sped through the doors and along the corridor. The other group was already down the stairs. The SPs silently followed them, choosing their opponents and planning tactics. They stopped at the edge of the stairs. They each took a gun, and shot into the air. The other group turned around. Their leader swore loudly.
"SPLIT UP! GO!" he yelled. They went in different directions, and the girls followed. This was the start of a bloody fight, presumably to the death. There would be no draw. One side would win. The other would die. There was no other option. This. Meant. War.
