The girls walked back to the main hall, where everyone was standing. The SPs grinned when they saw sugar, even if she did look rough. They surrounded her, and said words of praise and kindness. But she couldn't hear them. She had blocked them out. He was dead, and that was it, there was nothing else she could think about.
"what's wrong?" demon asked. Envy shook her head as an advanced warning. Demon understood, and forgot the question. But as the group stepped back and gave sugar space, that was when she saw him. Him. She was hit with a mixture of emotions. At that moment, she could of broken down and cried her eyes out, or she could of cheered in happiness, or even stormed round the place in anger. But, she was finished. She had no more tears to cry, no more air to breathe, not even any energy to go on. So, she did the only thing she was Physically able to. She collapsed onto the floor.
Everyone panicked. They surrounded her in a circle.
"oh my God."
"what happened?"
"did she faint?"
"is she unconscious?"
"is she dead?!"
Suddenly, zodiac pushed through the small crowd and looked at her.
"she's fine. She was just a little lightheaded, that's all. Leave her there."
They left sugar on the floor. There were now two lines facing each other, made from the two groups.
"maybe you should introduce yourselves." zodiac suggested. Their leader cleared his throat.
"we are free ice cream."
The SPs chuckled.
"yeah yeah, hilarious. They are lead by me, hybrid. This is my right hand man, fusion."
One of the boys stepped up. He had been sugars opponent.
"then we have bloodstream."
Demons rival came forward.
"and I'm sure you already know alpha the water claw, works of fire and ginger nut."
The girls all moved to the front too.
"so that's us. Now then: your turn."
Zodiac stretched out his fingers.
"we are the SPs, which stands very simply for psychopaths."
"which is one word that starts with P. And you thought our name was bad." hybrid tutted.
"oh shut up. It makes us sound cool. Now then, our first new girl is demon darkness."
Demon reluctantly walked to the front.
"and then we have diamond eagle."
She strutted forward.
"and of course, my wonderful trio - dinosaur donuts, Essence of envy and sugar sweet."
Donuts put her hand on her hip, envy looked at the floor and sugar (who was still lying down) whimpered.
"nice to meet you. Now, we must get going."
Zodiac said his goodbye quickly. He seemed a little determined to get out of the school. The girls went to sugar,and fusion sneaked past his group to see her too.
"is she alright?" he asked envy.
"no, probably not, and it's because of you! You've messed her up real bad, so can I suggest something? Back off, stay away and leave my friend ALONE!" she shouted angrily. Envy had never been so loud before. Fusion looked extremely hurt, and very guilty.
"come on, we'll go to the bus and pick her up when it's closer." envy lead the group outside. Sugars eyes fluttered open.
"I'm sorry." fusion said to her as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"don't be. It was my fault."
Fusion looked down again her.
"do you want me to carry you to the bus?"
Sugar nodded.
He scooped her up in his arms and walked out into the dark, cold night. The bus was at the front of the car park, so he carefully stepped through the shattered glass and went towards it. He opened the back doors with one hand.
" there." he whispered as he placed her gently on one of the seats. "are you OK now?"
"yeah, I'll live." she smiled. The rest of her group were coming back.
"go on, go." she ordered him.
"and what if I don't see you again?"
"then I'll remember you, if you can do the same."
He nodded.
"you punched me. Hard. That's pretty unforgettable."
They laughed.
"now go! Get out of here!" sugar told him. He went back to the doors, but then he paused. He ran back, and kissed sugars cheek before speeding out the bus. He met up with his own free ice cream group, and they parted with the SPs. Envy and alpha hugged each other, while diamond shook hands with fire and donuts waved goodbye to ginger. Demon didn't bother with bloodstream. They went back to the bus, but zodiac hung back.
"so.. Is this it?" hybrid said. "are we finished here?"
"we're never finished. We'll be back." zodiac warned him. They smiled.
"goodbye hybrid."
"there is no goodbye zodiac. Let's just say.. See you later."
"yeah. See you."
Zodiac turned away, and began to walk back to the bus.
"wait!" hybrid called as he ran after him. Zodiac turned around, and suddenly there were a pair of arms around him, and a pair of lips against his own. He shut his eyes as the seducing taste of hybrid made his head go wild. They stood there for a while, not moving at all, until finally zodiac let go, and looked into hybrids eyes.
"well.." he blushed deeply.
"look," hybrid began.
"it's been a long day without you, my friend."
"but, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again." zodiac finished off the lyrics.
"when I see you again." hybrid repeated. Zodiac turned, and left with his group. Hybrid turned, and left with his. This was the end.
