She froze, not quite sure what to do. Had somebody already recognized her? Would they even be able to recognize her? Slowly, she turned around, eyes wide, ready for any danger that might com her way.

What met her eyes was most certainly dangerous. Very dangerous. As she turned, she came eye to eye with none other than a teenage boy. She knew almost as much about these specimens as she knew about teenage girls- probably less. The boy in question, whose hand was still on her shoulder, had bright blue eyes that lit up his teenage boy face. She squinted hard, her heartbeat gaining momentum. She had heard about the danger of these teenage boy creatures- how they turned girls senseless with no more than a smile- but she couldn't be fooled that easily. She would not give in to his mind tricks. She held her breath, trying to remember what she had learned.

"Hey," he said, pulling his hand away. "You're Selena, right? The new one? I'm Evan, your ambassador. Since I've been to this school before, I'm basically here to help you get used to your new surroundings and stuff. So, where are you from?"

She was quite sure that the boy, Evan, had been trying to communicate something to her, but she wasn't quite sure if he was trying to hypnotize her or not, so she did her best to not listen, and instead decided to watch his blue eyes smile as he talked. Suddenly, she realized that his mouth had stopped moving, and that he was looking at her expectantly.

Darn. He asked you a question, didn't he? She glanced around for a second, not quite sure what to say. She couldn't just leave him hanging, those eyes just waiting for her to respond.

"Yes," she answered with absolute clarity. He grinned, and her heart flew with pride. She had answered correctly, hadn't she?

"Yes? I've never heard of that place..." he replied, eyes sparkling. Theresa paused, glancing around. Had he asked her where she was from? Then why did he seem so pleased with her answer?

"So, Selene, what do you like to do?" he asked, and this time she was listening.

She opened her mouth to reply, when she realized that she had not yet picked out her cover's personality... What did she like to do? She would have to remember her answer, or people might find faults in her character, and her mission could be jeopardized!

Her mission. In a sudden moment of clarity, she glanced around, remembering what she had come here for. Soon, she would have to find her target- the boy who would eventually grow into a criminal so powerful and cunning that not even the Avengers could stop him- and she should know. She was from the future where he ruled, unchallenged. It was not a pretty sight, to say the least. As she looked around, slowly, a certain coldness had run down her veins, freezing her entire body. She had already found her target, it seemed. Or rather, he had found her.
