But Theresa should've known that Loki wouldn't listen, after all, he is the god of mischief and trickery. It was soon apparent when Loki's voice drifted next to them when they ran.
"Though I wouldn't be too familiar with the medium of time, I do know that these beasts that are escaping from the time rips are very powerful. I would tell you to be careful. But as the god the mischief, though, paradoxes and such are meaningless! Charge!" Loki laughed.
"Are you invisible?" Mayday asked.
"Indeed."
We arrive at the scene of destruction to see that indeed Mayday was right and that it was the exact same wolf that they just fought.
Theresa suddenly felt small, oh so very small.
"And Theresa, helping as civilians have the same effect as helping as superheroes," Loki chuckled, "You ran off before I could tell you."
I paused in my haste to help to properly consider this. Right, Loki was right, Loki was always right. No matter if I was a civilian or a superhero, I was still interfering. And interfering meant paradox. I groaned aloud. "Then how do I help?"
"Screw consequences!" Loki declared. I stared in his general direction, never expecting to hear that from him.
"Told you I taught him," Mayday interjected proudly. "Right now we should leave the beast to them, we should seek out Dr. Strange, it's the only thing we can do."
"Yes...fine...you are right, let's depart," Loki tried to sound disappointed but Theresa knew he was glad that they didn't throw themselves into the fight. As the trio left Theresa looked back to the fight to see Spider-man being thrown into the side of a building by the wrecking ball of the tail. The ravenette wanted to help, her hand was clutching her necklace so tightly the points of the star were digging into her palm. But she knew she couldn't help. Not now, Theresa can't risk the future for a measly fight like this. She turned and followed the other two towards Dr. Strange's mansion, away from the fight.
They arrive at the rundown house the mansion was disguised as. Loki approached the house and knocked, revealed the true appearance of the place to the three. The door swung open quickly and they were greeted with a short black-haired girl standing there with a thick book tucked under her arm.
"We've been expecting you," She gestured for them to enter. The doors shut as soon as they were inside.
"Lorietta?" Mayday asked. Theresa was equally confused. The girl in front of them was clearly Loriette, but younger. They one they met earlier was maybe 17 the one in front of them was about 14 and a lot shorter. She had her black hair tied up in a ponytail and she a donning the baggy monk clothing.
"Yes, simple illusion magic, we had to contact you," She waved her hand dismissing the topic. "hello Loki, long time no see."
"I see you've been well," Loki nodded.
"Eva! Stephen! They're here!" Lorietta yelled into the house/
Two more people appeared. One was the infamous Dr. Strange with other was the auburn haired girl with glasses. Eva. But similar to Lorietta, she was also younger.
"Come in! Come in! We've prepared tea!" Eva chirped calling the guest to move away from the front door and into the living room.
"Come in before something happened like with your father, Mayday," Strange led them further into the mansion. Mayday laughed sheepishly, remember her father telling her what happened.
"Are you able to help us?" Loki asked, straight to the point.
"Yes, we are, but it is just a theory," Loriette answered.
"We'll explain it," Eva added.
Strange now took the wheel, "I can assume that in your past timeline, you never existed during this time. The moment you travel back her caused the timeline to split diverging in two directions, the past line's future is determined, but this new line is still unstable. But, in simple words, you have been pulled into, basically, a parallel universe. And this universe's future will be determined by your actions."
