Chapter 2

I have Aubrey come over and help me pack. Who would've thought that I had so many clothes and yet I wear like the same five things all the time.

School doesn't start in two months, but I'm going early to get settled into the area. Smart.

"Bring me back a British boyfriend." Aubrey said thinking of 1D.

I roll my eyes and say, "You're so weird."

We end up packing two large suitcases and one small one then my backpack. Everything I need to survive in the UK.

Adrian barges into the room blasting the The Beatles and I run downstairs to the piano and play along to all the songs. We're big Beatles fans! But I mean, who isn't!? After a good full album we walk to the small lake in the woods skipping stones. Something to do before I go in two days.

I throw some stones (because I can't skip stones) and just lay down across the nice gravel and let the rocks massage my back for instead of spending money. I'm cheap okay!

"Jess are you ready to leave us?" Adrian asked tears filling his eyes.

I smirk and say, "Adrian, I'll always visit on holidays! I'll never, ever forget you guys because you're all awesome."

Aubrey laughs and says, "Now promise to make us proud and video chat us once a week because calling is expensive over seas!"

We talk and talk then for a couple minutes we just lay down the rocks and watch the sky in silence.

I know I should start to miss them, but I can't wait to go and study music for the rest of my life! It's all I wanted to do and it's going to happen. Geez, I can't believe I'm still in reality!

Now we all get up and get ready for my going away party and I'm pumped to have everyone in my neighborhood, school, church etcetera come.

I get dressed into some purple shorts and a orange sleeveless top plus my converse, but I always wear them. For my wedding I'also be wearing Converse because I'm not a traditional gal.

We have a potluck so most of the stuff was meat, but some brought sushi, dessert, drinks. We're going to have a lot of leftovers once the party is over. Then again, nothing is wrong with leftovers and Netflix tonight.

I hang our with all the kids no matter what age and we all play tag and I wanted life to be this way everyday, but I'll be in London. That's when I missed the times I have here, but life's about make new memories. Nothing will be the same and I have a love/hate relationship with it.

Once everything was cooked and everyone finished eating Adrian wanted to say some words. Oh boy.

"Jessica Arnold, my dear friend," Adrian said standing on a stool to make him center of attention. "We're going to miss you, but you going after your dreams. I can't be any more happy for you! We're going to miss you. Though just remember from here on now this is a mark in the world that's going to last forever."

I hug him and everyone dances and sings and I'm going to miss everyone, but I'll be back to visit.
