Asa and I leave and wait at the gates excited to see my family again since winter break!
Asa: Man, I'm so nervous.
Me: Asa, it's a six hour flight to prepare and you're going to love them! You're okay sleeping at the hotel?
Asa: Totally. Like your dad would let a seventeen year old boyfriend of his only daughter sleep in their house. I think they have a good point.
Me: Haha. Come on let's go get our seats.
I take my seat next to Asa and rest my head on his shoulder ready for a extremely long, boring trip back home.
"Jess, welcome home." Asa said sitting up slowly so that he won't hurt me as I wake up from my long nap.
I rub my left eye and look out the window to see sunny, bright O'Hare Airport! I'm back!
Asa takes my hand as we walk out of the busy, jittery people getting stressed out to come back home. I pity them because here I am, a girl just walking to greet her parents to her boyfriend that she truly loves and will always care for.
Mom and Dad: JESSICA ARNOLD!!!
Me: Mum, Dad!
I run over o them getting brushed past a couple of business men and hug them tightly!
Asa walks over to us and smiles brightly.
My mom smiles and whispers, "You're right he is cute!"
Dad smiles and says, 'So you're the British boy that my daughter has been seeing. Well then...WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!" He hugs Asa and pats him on the bag like they've known each other forever.
As we walk out I smile to Asa and say, "Told you it was easy."
I go back to my room and throw everything on my bed and grab Asa's hand and rush to Aubrey's house. My parents didn't tell her we're coming so it's going to be an amazing surprise!
Aubrey: HOLY SHIT! ASA! JESS! I'VE MISSED YOU GUYS!
She hugs us until we have to break free for oxygen and we hug her again.
Asa: Nice to see you again.
Me: I've missed you!
Aubrey: I've missed you, too! How long are you staying?
Me: All summer!
Asa, Aubrey and I hurry to Lake Michigan to play around and have fun! I mean that's what summer's about right!?
Asa and my family talk about everything from meeting Asa in the theater and from where we are now. It took an hour and a half, but we made it through and we had so much fun laughing at the water balloon fight and crying when I first met Henry. It was the best year of my life and I don't want it taken away from me as long as I live on this planet.

I go take a walk to the Carlson's since I want to get the memory of John yelling at me and questioning about Adrain.
I take my time walking to their door and wait for someone to answer. I was ready to see Adrian's brown hair, but instead I saw Hazel instead.
Hazel: I'm sorry from last time we saw you!
Me: It's alright. How are you doing?
Hazel: Better. John is up and running and I'm working as a children counselor.
Me: Congrats!
John: Sorry about my yelling, too.
Me: Don't worry about it! I'm alright! Each day is a better day is all I can say.
Once I said what has happened I go back home to find my dad trying to teach Asa about American football instead of football as in soccer.
I sit down and eat some snacks while Asa tries really hard not to get off topic and focus on the rules and things like that. My dad wanted to teach me football and I always said no until he forced me to think of it as music and the different players and in notes and all that.
Dad: Asa here we go again! The object of the game is to The objective of this game is to score more points than the other team during the allotted time.[1] The team with the ball (the offense) has 4 tries (downs) to advance at least 10 yards, and can score points once they reach or near the opposite end of the field, called the end zone. If the offense succeeds in advancing at least 10 yards, they earn a "first down" and the number of tries allotted is reset and they are again given 4 tries to advance an additional 10 yards, starting from the spot to which they last advanced. If the offense does not advance at least 10 yards during their 4 downs, the team without the ball (the defense) regains control of the ball (called turnover on downs). How do you feel now?
Asa: Well it's different than rugby! Jess, want to take a walk.
Me: Alright. Bye dad.
Dad: Bye.
We walk for a while and I say, 'I don't like football either."
"Damn the game bores the shit out of me!" Asa said gripping his hair into his hands.
I laugh and say, '"Well we're at the cemetery I guess"
I run down all the tombs until I came to his.
Me: This is him. I thought you two would be such great friends.
Asa: Nice to meet you. I'm Asa.
Silence.
Asa has an entire conversation with him and then we sit there in silence watching his tomb sit there with no movement at all.
"I miss him." I said wiping a small tear away.
Asa kisses my head and says, "Life sometimes really sucks."
"You could say that again.."
~~~~~
I get ready for my welcome home party!
I get dressed in a long orange skirt and a black t-shirt with some sandals!
"You look hot!" Asa said kissing me.
I curtsy and say, "Thank you!" We kiss until we heard footsteps.
My dad looks at us and says, "Nothing better not be going on!"
All three of us hurry to have since cookout. Asa helps my dad cook while I catch up with everyone. Aubrey's parents hug me hard because it's been a really long time!
I have fun running around like the kids and realize that this is what happened before I left. Right now Adrian should be giving another speech and I would laugh and make fun if him after it, but now I can never do it again.
I stand on a chair and begin MY speech.
"Attention, attention everyone." Once everyone settles down I begin, "It's been a year since I left for London! Wow! Now that I hear Midwest accents I DID pick up the accent! Awesome!" I take a breath and try to steer the train back on track. "I've meet so many friends that care for me! Like Iris, Rider, Riley, Henry, Ms. Jameson, Christy, Carly Jason, and Asa! I became very depressed over letting go and I actually went to the ER." My parents were shocked to hear that and looked worried. "I'm fine! The doctor told me to go to a counseling/support group thing for a week. I hated hearing their stories and I helped them a lot!" A stream of a tear falls on cheek, but I keep going! "What makes a memory special is that it ends. It hurts, but you treasure the feeling forever and that's what London did to me."
