Chapter 20

THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Iris: JESS! GET YOUR BUTT UP SO WE CAN HAVE FUN BEFORE EVERYONE LEAVES!

Me: God! IT'S THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

My first year at MCAA is the best school year in my entire life so far! I've had so many ups and downs! I always had an adventure every day!

I rush outside and hug Rider and Asa tightly. Then I rush to the tech division to say bye to Riley.

Riley: See you next year!

Me: I'll see you soon! Please tell me if Carly starts to bully you again.

Riley: (rolls eyes) Fine. I like the "survey" trick. Haha.

Me: Well see you later, Riley.

Riley: Bye Jess.

I go back to everyone and we head to the beach to meet up with everyone family including Asa's so that in the morning tomorrow we fly to Chicago to meet my parents! I'm just so excited for everything planned out!

I go over to see Loxie run up and hug my legs! Adorable!

Jack says hi and introduces me to Asa's dad Sam, his older brother Morgan, and his other younger sister Marlie. I love them all!

Sam: Nice to meet you Jess.

Me: Nice to meet you, too!

We all talk and laugh with Asa's family and Rider's and Iris's family! Everything seemed in place except that my family isn't here.

"Jess," Rider's mom Amanda asked, "where are your parents?"

I didn't feel hurt I just wished they were here. "They live in America and I'm visiting them this summer with Asa."

Iris smiles and says, "You're coming back next year, right?"

"Of course!" I said digging my toes into the sand.

Morgan: Alright since you guys are going to MCAA I think you're musicians.

Iris stares at me and says, "Jess can play anything except the bagpipes."

I play my guitar while Morgan plays some bongos and Iris's parents sing their hearts out. Even her brother Jason is amazing! We all talk for the rest of the night laughing our heads off until Marlie and Loxie started getting tired and had to go. Then it was just Rider's and Iris's family left to talk to.

Rider's dad Mitchel: You guys seem like you did everything together!

Asa: Oh we did! I can't think of when we weren't together!

Rider: Don't make it creepy.

Once it was already midnight we were all forced to go home, but Iris and Rider stayed one more night to see us leave in the morning.

I get snug in bed and say quietly, "You're right Adrian, though just remember from here on now this is a mark in the world that's going to last forever!"

I love my adventures here and I can't wait to make new ones.
