The next day I get up super early to get ready for school and I just shoot into some shorts and a blue shirt and a black blazer and grab my backpack and head to math. I've never been this excited for an event that included school. I race to math happy that Iris showed me around.

I race to class and sit in a seat ready for math and I can't wait to spend an entire hour learning math! Yay! I bet you read that in a sarcastic voice. Good that's why that sentence was there.

I listen to the teacher and while I was in the middle of a problem I hear the door close and look up to see Asa coming in. Well he's late today.

"Explain yourself Mr. Butterfield." Mrs. Flores said writing a detention slip.

Asa smiles at me and says, "Ms. Jameson wanted me to practice a script she thought I was perfect for. If you want a witness Ms. James also asked Jess, but she said no to come here."

Mrs. Flores turned to me and asked, "Ms. Arnold is this true?"

Thanks for getting me into this Asa and on my firt day. I think and see the begging in his eyes and say, "He's right. Ms. James did want me to practice a script, but I said after school because I would've been late like Asa."

Mrs. Flores sighed and said, "Alright Mr. Butterfield you're lucky you're not going to detention."

Luckily, the period was over and I walked out past Asa going to my next class which is theater.

I walk and then someone just hugged from behind.

I drop all my books to see it was Asa.

"Thank you so much!!" Asa said helping me get all my books together.

I laugh and say, ¨You're lucky. Now look don't reel me into problems like that, but that was fun in a way. I still can't believe you made me lie to some teahcer I barely even know."

Asa laughed and said, "If I need a crime fighting partner it would be you."

"Bye Clyde!" I said waving to Asa.

He waves back and says, "Bye Bonnie!"

I hurry to theater and I sit down.

We all get in groups and a script and go on stage to perform and help us portray characters better. At least the script is 'Romeo and Juliet'.

My group:

Me: Juliet

Jason: Romeo

Carly: Lady Capulet

Caleb: Paris

Instead of doing the Shakespeare way we decided to do the 2014 way! The best part was the script wasn't with a dialoged, but with just our characters and what we do in the entire story!

Me: Romeo, I know we just met, but I love you!

Jason: Juliet, I love you more!

Caleb: No! I'M THE ONE WHO MARRIES JULIET!

Carly: Juliet marry Paris and I demand that Romeo must die!!

At the end everyone is laughing their head off of how fun that was and we all bow and sit down. Even though I thought the whole thing was stupid, but... a good stupid.

Jason sits next to me and says, "Well that was fun."

"Most fun I had since I've been here." I said still seeing the huge difference between everyone's accents with mine. It feels weird. ¨Even though this is my first day.¨

After all my classes I go to the music room to practice and the only instrument left was the piano.

I brought all my music and began to play. First was The Beatles to remind me of home.

Then out of nowhere someone's comes and sings.

'Hey Jude, don't make it bad

Take a sad song and make it better

Remember to let her into your heart

Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid

You were made to go out and get her

The minute you let her under your skin

Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain

Don't carry the world upon your shoulders

For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool

By making his world a little colder

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah'

I turn to see Asa singing. Wasn't too, too bad either.

"Thank you!" He said bowing.

I said moving over for him to sit down, "Are you triple threat?" I'm not. I act and I'm good, but singing and dancing NO!

Asa laughs and says, "No way! Act, sing and dance! I can't do that much!"

"Do you play piano?" I ask getting a different song out.

Asa starts to play 'Perfect Two' by Auburn.

I blush and start to song

[B-Sec:]

Don't know if I could ever be

Without you cause boy you complete me

And in time I know that we'll both see

That we're all we need

Cause you're the apple to my pie

You're the straw to my berry

You're the smoke to my high

And you're the one I wanna marry

[Hook:]

Cause you're the one for me (for me)

And I'm the one for you (for you)

You take the both of us (of us)

And we're the perfect two

We're the perfect two

We're the perfect two

Baby me and you

We're the perfect two

Once that happened Asa said, "You're a really bad singer." He laughed and I knew he was teasing me.

"Ya I kind of know that." I said leaving.

I'm not mad I just need to get homework done that's all. I know what you're thinking.

"Jess, come on I was kidding." Asa said grabbing my wrist.

I look at him calmly and say, "I know that, but I have homework."

"Then I'll help you!" Asa grabbed me and pulled me back to the practice room.

We studied, but we memorized everything by putting it into a song. Smart idea.

After all the songs Asa grabs my check and slowly pulls me in, but before out lips lock I stop it with my finger.

"Next time Butterfield." I giggle and leave.

"How about tomorrow!" Asa calls.

"Depends!" I call back.

This guy is really desperate for a kiss.

"Like most misery, it started out with apparent happiness."
