Rey's P.O.V.
I had barely slept, I was thinking of how so many things could go wrong today, from not being able to bring Ben back home and if I did bring him home how I would be pushed aside again. Of course I knew there would be a reunion between the two if he did come home, but what I fear the most was that she would forget about me and if I did end up growing attached to Ben somehow he would leave me too. and also what if he wouldnt leave with me, i can't force him to do anything the only thing i can't think is to persuade him back
why would you even consider he would chose you out of everyone in the galaxy?
A preposterous idea I realize, how could anyone including that monster be willing to grow a relationship with me. I mean my own parents left how could I trust that anyone not related wouldn't leave. and why would i want a relationship with the enemy anyway it's a preposterous idea i shouldn't have thought it in the first place
A knock on my door startled me from my thoughts
"come in", Finn peeked his head through the door
" rey I don't think this is the right thing to do, going and picking up kylo ren like yo-youre his babysitter or something"
I crease my eyebrows at his bluntness
" well I dont think its the right thing either finn, but I dont think leia deserves to be alone "
he takes a step into my room closing the door behind him, my face contorts in confusion, what is he doing?
" you know how dangerous he is, he has killed and I just I, well rey let me get to the point, rey what if he tries to take you to the dark side or something like what if he takes you from me I mean from us" he stutters, sounding unsure of himself
" finn I'll be fine, if I do go I will discuss things with leia to make sure im safe during this, and he won't take me away from you all, I'm much stronger than you may think finn."
"well that's not what I meant I know you're strong it's just-"
"drop it everything will be fine"
I began to stand and made my way towards him. I placed my hand gently on his shoulder
"we shouldn't keep her waiting then, lets go" it came it a little cheerier than usual but I was trying to make it less awkward for us both. and i needed to rip off the bandage or i wouldn't go get kylo ren at all
He nodded slowly and led me to leia's office.

The office was simple but covered in tv cameras, it made me feel slightly uneasy knowing she watched us. We all just kept glancing at each other silently until leia decided to speak up
"so Rey the plan to bring my son home" I nodded my head slowly allowing her to continue
"we have received the coordinates of bens location, he appears to be on naboo, which isn't very surprising considering it was the location his grandfather was wed"
my eyebrows furrowed in confusion, how did she think that wasn't surprising.
" um general if I may, why did he choose naboo of all places to hide out from the first order and what does it have to do with his grandfather?"
She chuckled but it sounded more like out of embarrassment, I decided not to question it .
" oh Rey, my son has quite the obsession with darth Vader, his grandfather, he knows much about him and believes he can become just like him" she grumbles.
She shakes her head of the thoughts and looks back at me her face seeming more collected
" so Rey we have a ship waiting for you filled with supplies, the coordinates are set for you, also we realize you just came back into civilization so we installed video cameras to communicate with us if you ever need anything"
I smile trying to reassure her and myself that it'll all go to plan, she leans towards me and whispers
"please bring him home Rey" she looks at me with sad eyes.
I nod my head and pull her into an embrace before heading to my ship. I worry if I won't be able to do this, I don't want to get hurt in the process, any more hurt than I already am.

The ride to naboo took up most of the day, I arrive into the atmosphere around nightfall, when my ships starts to malfunction, it starts to shake, sirens blare at me and I struggle to turn them off, I try to press every button and pull every lever to get the noise to stop, I put my hands on my ears,
it's ok everything is ok, i'm fine everything's fine ,
the noise gets louder and I take one hand off my ear and frantically hit the buttons on the dash trying everything I can to get it to stop. I place my free ear against my shoulder as I figure out how to turn off the noise.
turn it off, turn it off, turn it off!
the intercom blares through the ship
" Rey, Rey are you all right come in Rey! We've noticed your ship is malfunctioning on the left side and your back engine has blown." Poes voice statics through the speaker, cutting out every so often.
My head is spinning I feel like I can't breathe I grab onto the dash to steady myself and try to get a better look at the controls. I press down on the button
" I-I'm f-fine, I just, it won't stop." I scream at the speaker my voice cracking in the process.
My vision starts to blur, really not now,
" Rey Rey are you-" the speaker cuts,
I fall onto the dash and my head hits the window, the ship stops shaking and drops straight down. I try to steer it up but the controls stopped working and my ship starts to fall through the trees,
bloody hell did they even fix this thing before putting me on in it?
I'm thrown back and my head hits a wall, a shriek escapes my lips. I reach up to see if I'm hurt and feel a mixture of blood and tears on my cheeks. The ship seems to have crash landed considering it isn't moving. I laid back against a cushioned wall trying to stay conscious, my eyes slowly blur over and everything starts to go black. As I drift a distant sound of a lightsaber crackling, getting louder by the second, pierces through the wall beside me.
