Chapter 40

Bella's POV

I walked over to Nahuel's aunt Huilen and hugged her as she whispered "Sister." in my ear and I replied with a whisper of "sister." of my own before we separated and she laid her right hand on my left shoulder and I did the same to her. "It has been awhile." I whispered making her laugh "I forget how very young you are." She said with a smile as we walked slightly away but close enough that we kept the children in sight and could go to them at any time. "Now tell me all that has happened." She said softly

I laied my hand on Huilen's shoulder and gently pulled her to try and turn her to face me again. When she had turned she had her arms crossed and she had anger in her eyes. "I told you not to trust him." She said softly. "I know... He was there in my time of need." I whispered as I looked down at my feet ashamed. "I know." She said with a sigh and after a moment of silence she asked "What are we going to do now?" making me look up. "I have to find a safe place for my children and myself." I said looking confused. "Come now sister, we are to be mother in laws to each others children, us sisters and mothers must stay together!" She said making me smile as I nooded my head and together we ran to the children and she grabbed up the boys while I grabbed the girls and together we ran side by side as the little ones slept with a head on each of our shoulders.

The sun was beginning to rise and the girls in my arms were starting to stir. "Where are we to go?" I whispered so as not to wake them sooner then they should. "I was thinking The Volturi." She replied softly making my eyes go wide. "Are you sure this is wise sister?" I asked fear trickling into my vains and I knew that if my heart had been beating it would have stopped completly to never start again. "Sister, would I ever stir you into danger?" And without even a thought I shook my head no and I knew I was right, besides why would she risk someone that she thought of as her own son? I knew she would protect Nahuel with her life and I hoped she would do the same with my children.
