Chapter Ten:

Love is waiting...

Chapter Ten: 

Alex's

"May nakakita ba sa kanya? Have you seen her roaming around?" the coordinator asked. But she received a no. "Okay then, go back to your rooms and I myself and the rest of the team will find for her." 

"I'm coming." sabay na sinabi namin ng lalaking katabi ni Annika. We both glanced at each other. 

"Jack, Nile and Jasper. We should come, somebody needs us." 

"No problem." they said. 

"What about me?" said Marian. 

"You need to be here with Annika, maybe Nadine will come back." 

"Okay." 

"Let's go Team. Grab your flashlights. Stick together."

We looked everywhere, 2 hours. Everyone is getting tired already, but we need to keep on looking. It's been four hours, four hours of worrying. 

"Alex. I'm so sorry. But we need to go back." sabi saakin ng coordinator. 

"She's right. Pag pinagpatuloy pa natin ito, pwedeng tayo naman ang mawala. Pag bumalik tayo sa camp, baka nandoon na ang hinahanap natin." 

"Who are you?" 

"Paul." matigas na sabi niya. 

"Well Paul, we can't go back. Kung she's already there sa camp, dapat tinawagan na tayo sa radio ng team. But, there's no call. We need to pursue this." matigas na sabi ko. 

"Mr. Alexis Cruz, I'm very sorry. But we can't, hindi natin kabisado ang gubat." sabi pa ng corrdinator. 

"Fine!" I can't stop myself from worrying. Pagod na ako, I haven't slept yet. Pero I know Nadine is in trouble again. Bumalik kami sa camp, but everyone is worrying din. No sign of Nadine around. 

Nakaupo lang kami, nagiisip. Ikot ng ikot. Everyone is worrying. 5 hours, six f*cking hours. 7:00 - 11:00, wala pa si Nadine. 

"Hahaha, she deserve it." I heard from a girl near us. Lumapit ako sa kanya, I know from the very start there's something suspicious here. 

"WHERE-IS-SHE?"

Namutla naman siya, she cleared her throat. "What are you talking a-about?" 

"WHERE IS SHE?!" 

"Mr. Cruz! Calm down! Ano ba to?!" sinabi ng coordinator at pinigilan ako. Pero hindi ko siya pinansin. 

"IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HER....." sinuntok ko ang board na malapit sa mukha niya. "YOU'RE DEAD." 

I grabbed my flashlight and run through the forest. 

"Alex! Mr. Cruz! Where are you going?!" 

I searched the area opposite to our route earlier. Sana matandaan ko ang daan pabalik. I search, search, search, search and search. 30 minutes of searching and I can feel my legs near to break down. All I have is my flashlight. 

*sniff sniff* 

Sinundan ko ang tunog na narinig ko. Hanggang sa matapat ang flashlight ko sa taong hinahanap ko. 

I run towards her, nakayuko lang siya. And she's crying and her face is filthy. Nakatali siya sa puno. Pinilit kong tanggalin yun, pero the rope is really thick. 

"I'm gonna get  you out of here..." 

She glanced at me, but I know her vision is not clear. A tear fell down from her beautiful eyes, consecutively. With that, I cutted the rope with my bare hands and they're now bleeding. She fell, but before that, nasapo ko na siya. I hugged her. I hugged her so tight. She just cried. I can feel her shaking and her hands around me, because she's really scared. 

"Shhh, please don't cry. Please." humiwalay ako sa yakap at pinunasan ko ang luha niya. "Let's go back." and I grabbed her, binuhat ko siya ng pa-bridal style. Nilahad niya ang kamay niya sa leeg ko. Until she fell asleep in my arms. 

Nakabalik kami sa camp, and she's still in my arms. Naglapitan ang lahat saamin. Pero dinala ko siya sa cottage nila, I lay her at her bed. Hinawi ko ang buhok niya na nasa mukha niya na. She's still sleeping kaya lumabas ako and close the door of her cottage. 

"Mr. Cruz, you're hands are bleeding." sabi ng coordinator. 

"Please take care of her."  lumakad ako papaalis. 

Nilapitan ko yung babae kanina. "I found her in the woods, nakatali sa puno. A girl like her doesn't deserve to be treated like that. Mess with her again and you'll find right where you belong."

"B-but, nauna siya. She slapped me and she tried to wreck our cottage." 

I looked at her, a death glare. "She won't do that." 

"Why won't you listen to me Alex?!" 

"I did listen to you, but all I can hear? Lies." sabi ko at bumalik na sa cottage namin ni Nile. 

Annika's 

"Bakit naman kaya gagawin ng mga babaeng iyon kay Nadine? Do you have any idea Ms. Fuentes?" 

Napailing lang ako. Sa totoo lang, nagiisip din ako kung bakit. Kasi sa pagkakatanda kong naikwento sakin ni Nadine, dahil yon kay Alex. Pero nakaganti na sila nun, hindi pa ba sapat yun?  "Anong pong balak niyo Coordinator?" 

"Actually, I'm going to call there parents and ipapasundo ko na sila." sabi niya. 

Oo nga pala, paano ang parents ni Nadine? Tsk tsk. Kasalanan ko to, bakit ko ba kasi siya inaya-aya ko pa siya? MOTHER EARTH, please help me. Hatik ko nanaman pong mawala si Nadine sakin. "E, ano naman pong balak niyo kay Nadine?" 

"Well....she needs rest. I might call an ambulance as well as her parents." 

"PO?! I mean..............tama! Kailangan niya ng rest. Pero hindi ho ba mas makakabuti kung dito po muna siya. Kasi magrelaxing ang atmosphere po dito kaysa sa Manila. Diba po? She needs nature Ms. Coordinator." sabi ko. 

Nagnod naman siya. "You're right." YES! Gumana nanaman ang power of nature! MABUHAY! "I better go now. Take care of her Ms. Fuentes. It's already 1:00 in the morning so you should get your sleep." 

"Yes po. Salamat po." at umalis na siya. Pinagmasdan ko lang si Nadine habang natutulog siya. Di ko mapigilang hindi sisihin ang sarili ko sa mga nangyayari sa kanya. Bakit ba kasi ang malas ng babaeng ito?! At hindi lang to, baka mas madami pang sumunod na trahedya sa kanya. Pag nagising siya, baka may trauma na siya. TRAUMA......tama! Si Paul, nakwento niya sakin na marami siyang alam tungkol sa ganyan. Kaya pagkagising nitong babae na to, papapuntahan ko agad si Paul. 

Maiba lang tayo, it's about Alex. Napansin niyo ba yung possessiveness niya kanina? Ibang-iba siya sa kilalang Alex.  Nilinis ko na ang katawan ni Nadine habang natutulog siya, napaka rungis niya. Ikaw ba naman maiwan sa gubat ng 5+ hours, nakatali ka pa. Nakita ko yung braso niya, may bakat ng lubid. Grabe, ang titindi talaga ng gumawa sa kanya nito. Sinasabi ko sa inyo, babawian ko yung mga yun.

BABAWIAN KO TALAGA SILA.
