"Meredith, you're going to think I'm really stupid when I ask you this but I have to anyways", I tell her over facetime.

" I don't have to think you're stupid. I know you're stupid", she retorts.

What happened to my innocent best friend that thought it was rude to call people stupid? Cami must be rubbing off on her. I heard them talking quite a bit at my party.

"Anyways...what do I wear?" I beg her. "Ross's surgery is today and he's going to see me for the first time. Yeah yeah, I know I should just be myself and all that but I want him to like me!"

"He already likes you. More than like it seems", Meredith points out.

"I know, but...ugh, it's such a big moment and I don't want him to look at all the prettier girls out there and feel bad that he's stuck with me!" I sound pathetic.

I can practically hear Mere rolling her eyes.

"So, I can't wear a dress or anything because I don't want to look like I'm trying", I start.

"But you are", Mere deadpans.

"But I can't wear just a t-shirt and shorts because that's too boring. Even though that's what I was usually wearing around him so would it be wrong to dress up today and make him think I dress like this all the time?" I ask.

"You lost me", she replies blankly.

Finally, with not much of Mere's help, I pick out a turquoise lace blouse which brings out my blue eyes, denim shorts and some sandals. I add a long necklace so the top doesn't look too plain and brush my curls out and pin a few of the front strands up. Cute, but still casual enough to wear to a hospital. Hopefully.
