"Holy shit!" Aaron grinned. "You have visions!"
"Shuu!"
"Since when?" he whispered.
Ely chewed at his lip, playing around with the hem of his shirt. "Since I came here I suppose."
"What?"
"Oh my god Aaron! I don't know!" Elias snapped, not because he was mad, no, it was the girl's bathroom that bothered him, it didn't really seem like the best place to have a conversation like that, especially with both of them being boys.
"From your experience, is it a bad thing?"
Aaron thought for a moment then grabbed his phone and started looking through it.
"What are you doing? I already googled it." Ely commented and Aaron couldn't help but laugh.
"Well aren't you a real sunshine today?" Aaron teased. "Look, don't worry about it okay," he said, putting a hand to his shoulder. "Just give me some time; I'll look it up through my contacts, okay?"
"Contacts?"
"Didn't I say not to worry about it?"
Elia sighed. "Okay. Thank you Aaron."
"Meanwhile," he said, remembering something. "Get yourself some nice costume."
"Why would I need a costume?" Elias asked, puzzled.
"For the Halloween party, hello?"
"Wait, it's Halloween already?" Elias made a face. "And there's a party?!"
He was absolutely lost.
"Dude you're messed up." Aaron replied as immediately.
"How do you know about it?"
"Facebook."
"You have a facebook account?!" El said, definitely not sounding jealous. "God you have a much human-like life than I do!"
Aaron shrugged "That is one more reason why you should go."
"Okay," He shoved his jealousy away, reminding himself that maybe it's a good thing Aaron is concentrating more on building a life on his own away from the supernatural spiral he threw himself into.
Finally out of the bathroom, they headed to their lockers. Elias kept quiet during the rest of the conversation, except for laughing along to most of the jokes Aaron made about how Halloween was such a stupid idea, he also learned that it's in this day that the demon activity peaked during the year.
That's an information he thought he should really hold into.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! The banners and posters were now hanging from the walls, the lockers, and even the ceiling, turning the hallway into a sea of black and orange.
Frowning, Elias walked up to one to get a closer look.
EVERYONE is invited to a special Halloween party! Come join your classmates as we celebrate our favorite American Holiday! Friday, October 31st 9:00 PM in the gym.
Ps: Costume Required.
After the second period ended, they spotted Emily in the middle of the hall next to her locker. She almost jumped when Ely approached her. "Getting ready for the Halloween party?" he asked her and Emily visibly blushed.
"I, yeah," she said, smiling. "Are you going?"
"Apparently. Are you free after school?"
"What? Why?" Emily asked.
Well that was totally not suspicious.
"I sort of need help to get a costume"
"oh" she took a few deep breaths. "Well I haven't even picked mine yet."
Aaron snorted "Easy, dress the sluttiest possible."
"Dress up as Sidney, that'll do," Ely said, smirking.
"Mean." Emily shrugged. "I like how she dresses."
Aaron scoffed. "Exactly."
"Sup with you two? Skipped second period?" Brian appeared with a small camera.
"Yeah" Elia hesitated for a second. "honestly I don't wanna talk about it." He raised his eyebrows. "What's with the camera?"
Brian's face lit up "Oh I'm making a montage of my daily life."
Aaron hit his face while Elias reprimanded him gently. "I don't think it's a good idea with Derek around you all the time. Remember he's still a fugitive."
"Oh he won't be around me much today I told him that me and Emily were going-" he mumbled the last bit when he saw the poisonous glare Aaron was shooting him behind Elia's confused face.
"You guys are going somewhere?" he asked and Emily was mortified.
"Yes! They are helping with the party decoration." Aaron smiled using all of his power not to show his 'lying face'.
"Oh okay, well you guys should come by when you're done to watch some horror flicks," Ely suggested. "Maybe a marathon of all the classics?"
"I don't watch horror movies," Emily said with a nauseous look on his face. "They're so ridiculous."
Ely nodded "True, it's always about some dude going after a big-breasted girl who's running upstairs when she should be running out the front door. But you've got to admit they're funny."
"Some aren't like that," Aaron defended. "For example, Carrie is about this bullied girl who gets revenge on her bullies. She ends up burning down the gym."
"I love that movie" Ely supplied "Definitely worth a re-watch. So are you guys coming?" he said, resting his elbow on Aaron's shoulder.
They all nodded except for Brian, he pondered for a bit before sighing "Sorry can't do, I'm playing at Cesar palace tonight."
"Where's that maybe we'll come by to see you?" Ely asked, once the bell rang.
"It's in Nashville," Brian said with a bright smile "It's where the rich people live."
"In other words it's not for us."Aaron explained.
Ely nodded soundlessly.
"Wish me luck!" Brian waved and headed to class.
They all waved back, surprisingly even Aaron.
"Okay then, I guess I'll see you tonight." Emily said before she pulled her phone out and left.
Watching her go Elias made a humming sound. "Why do I feel like there's something going on with those two?" he asked warily.
Without even thinking about it, the Are blurted out the first lie he could think of.
"They're dating in secret!"
"What?!"
A minute later, he was regretting it.
"Yes!"
Ely wasn't sure what the hell he was supposed to think when Aaron threw that one on him. "Oh my god."
"I know." Aaron shot back uncontrollably.
"I can't believe it!" he heard the other say, "I can't believe everybody's hooking up except me!"
Aaron blinked. That's it?
His head titled back in a full blown laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Elias crossed his arms and looked up into the amused blue eyes of Aaron's "Got a girlfriend behind my back too?"
Smirking, Aaron put a hand on Ely's shoulder. "Never. It's just you and me."
