"Nee, I feel like someone just said something in total contradiction with our current situation." Timothy stated.

"You mean?" asked Kimberly.

"Well, for a fact, there's a weird looking girl straight ahead with a giant blade in the hand ready to chop us into pieces and she's blocking our way."

The said girl opened her mouth and hissed in response, heavy air started to blow around her and threw them flying back and the hunters fell to the ground, landed lightly. Elias bumped into the wall but quickly clawed his way into a sitting position, he was now standing next to Brian and the cheerleader in the background as the two hunters occupied the front trying to hold up a defense wall; the problem is that the offense was left in the living room.

Now motionless, Elias took a deep, steadying breath. He had become used to a lot of things in the past few months, but this had happened too quickly for even him to understand it. A hasty glance reassured him that both the hunters and Brian were standing at his side, unharmed and obviously just as shocked as he was.

"What are you two waiting for knock her down?" the cheerleader gestures to them.

"It's not that easy we need Shane, he's the offensive line." Kimberly informed.

Timmy smirked "How about you help instead of hiding in the back little kitty."

"Who're you calling kitty you perv?!" She snapped.

"Hold on!" It's Elias who finally shot everyone up, holding out his arms like a cop slowing traffic. "We gotta figure out who she is first!"

"More like we've to find her first." Brian remarked pointing at the empty hallway.

"Where did she go?"

Timothy let his guard down and smirked "Well that was easy."

"It can't be a coincidence that there was an attack on us then just disappeared. It seemed like she was here to toy with us. That would explain why it seemed so easy."

Elias had no idea how right he was as everyone were aware of the evil presence with them, observing their every word and move. It was here with one important task and it needed to make sure to attack at the right moment.

"Let's take this to our advantage and find the exit."

In the same time, Shane and Aaron broke the final mirror in the master bed room. The house was now blind; they knew that going up against an invisible force maybe suicide. However, it didn't give them many choices, it was a kill or be killed situation even if it meant destroying the place.

"Clear," Shane stated.

Aaron snorted "Oh we're far from clear, that crazy chick is still shimmering around."

"Shimmering?" The hunter titled his head to the side in confusion; he looked as childish as ever.

Aaron stared, wondering where the cold blooded hunter went. "Yeah appearing and disappearing however she likes?" he finally managed to say and Shane nodded in understanding.

"Tss! you hunt demons, how can you not know this?" said Derek, figuring he might as well add something to the conversation instead of just standing around; but the boy just turned away ignoring Derek's hysterics. It made Aaron laugh "Hey can you blame him we're such mysterious creatures." He smirked.

A door slam sound cut their joyous conversation. Everyone gasps.

Derek raised an eyebrow "What now?"

"It's using the furniture to figure out our location." Shane said "We need to stay put until the door opens on its own."

"Are you seriously suggesting we stay here all night waiting for a door to open?" Derek watched Shane, dumbstruck, walking toward the bad and sitting at its edge.

"If we open the door he's going to prepare something even worse than locking us up."

Aaron sighed, "As much as I hate this, I think he's right." he sat on the ground near the hunter's feet.

For the next minute or so, silence reigned over the room. All eyes are on the ground, as if they expect it to start doing cartwheels or something. To Derek, the entire situation is a blur of questions and hypothetical, honest to God he didn't care, all he could think of was rather Brian escaped or not. So he did the only thing they've asked him not to do, he opened the door and walked away.

"Stupid demon." Shane stated coldly getting up.

"Dude I'm right here!" Aaron shakes his head blinking in disbelief.

"Sorry...not sorry." Shane slightly smirked. Aaron snorted and looked at his watch it was 01:32 P.M

"Come on, let's follow before grandpa gets himself killed." his tone good-natured despite the mockery.

As they reached the end of the hall of shifting portraits, they entered a chamber that seemed to be a library; it was dark and smelled like something rotten. Shane walked cautiously pausing only to light the lamp on the desk, the ground was so obscured Aaron stumbled on something.

"Jesus!" He whimpered reaching for his foot; Shane was blinking, though whether it was because of the sudden light or Aaron's statement.

"Shuu!" He gestured for Aaron to keep it low.

"Sorry."

Shane rolled his eyes and stepped forward, putting on a pair of leather gloves.

"What are you doing?"

"If this is an ancient house there must be a secret path somewhere." The young hunter answered shuffling through the things in the desk.

Aaron leaned against the desk facing him, and tried to joke "Yes of course all ancient houses have secret paths, makes sense." He felt the desk slipping from his grasp. He slipped and fell, striking his knees painfully against the hard floor as the desk moved revealing a rectangle path on the floor.

"Secret path!" Shane whispered. He flipped open his flashlight and squinted when the bright light shone and lit up the area. He trailed the light slowly around to observe it. The first thing he saw were the set of dusty stairs going down leading who knows where. "Come on." He said waving his hand.

Aaron limped toward him "My knees!"
