Chapter 22

Joey POV

I finished my work early and decided i should get back to the main house. As i'm entering my street I notice two black vans outside the house.

"How did they find us?"I questioned myself

I'm pretty sure it's Jacobs gang, The idiot didn't have anyone on check outside so this should be pretty easy.

I check my phone before getting out the car

One new voice message

"Joey, Jacob is here and we weren't prepared they came unexpectedly and AH FUCK" I heard Matts voice speak through the phone

I hope that boy isn't shot, over the year Matt is probably my closest friend right now i can't handle losing him.

Running to the house I hear a voice cry.

"You killed Matt" I recognized the voice as soon as it spoke again, Maggie

And according to her, Matt is dead.

I run faster, gun in hand ready to shoot. At the door I see Maggie hunched over her bleeding cousin, Jacob trying to comfort her.

"Leave me alone!" She screamed at the boy

There were three men in the room including Jacob so this should be pretty easy.

The first shot caught their attention at the tall man with blonde hair

"Mark " Jacob shouts, " are you okay" he speaks running to the man

His friend tries a shot at me and hit the wall. Who gave him a gun, he seems awful at shooting. I take a shot at him straight in the chest

"Cameron" Jacob shouts again running to him as well after trying to bandage the blonde boy with his hoodie. Unlike the blonde boy there was was no saving Cameron

I ran quickly to Maggie, pulling her away from Matt. I did my best at trying to calm her down as well as myself seeing my best friend lay dead in a pool of his own blood

"I know Maggie, don't worry he's in a better place" I repeated while she held onto me with all her life. Seems like she may not want to go back to see her dad with the man who killed cousin, her closest family she had.

"Go upstairs, let me sort the rest out" she nodded still weeping while she ran for dear life upstairs.

The whole time I was still concentrating on Jacob, The whole time he was concentrated on his men, crying. He's always been weak.

"Im giving you this chance and only this chance to get the hell out of here, take your men. Having disgraces in this house is not accepted. We don't accept the weak. So get the hell out and we'll sort this out at a later date" He still sat beside his men. I shot beside him to try and scare him off

Going to pull out his own gun I shot him in the shoulder

"Out!" I shout this is his last chance

He got up helping his friend up while they both carried out his friend who was out cold.

Making sure they left i shot at the van once they hadn't moved for ten minutes letting them know i was going to actually kill them if they didn't leave.

Now for Maggie I don't know how i'm going to deal with her knowing i'm probably the worst person in the world at comforting
