"Thanks you too." I said as he rung Ryan up at the counter.
"Have a good day girls." The man said as we exited the store.
"God am I the only one who thought he was creepy." Kendal said as she shivered.
"Now your not alone." I said as I ran a hand through my messy hair.
"Wait-is that Alex?" Georgie asked as she pointed towards the cafeteria part of the mall.
"Ooo and he's with Sean and Adam." Riley said as she smiled dreamily.
"Let us go and converse with the other species." Ryan said as she pulled is forward. When we got into Alex's view he smiled warmly towards me.
"Ello ladies." He said as he grabbed my two bags off my arm and set them near his chair.
"Oh my lord, wait Alex is this the Evelyn we have heard so much about?"The boy who had spoken was the definition of gorgeous. He had ashy blonde hair that was cut in a spiky crew cut, sort of like Alex's. He had tanned skin and a large build that made him look like one of those surfer models from Australia.
"Why yes this is. Evelyn meet Adam Montey." Alex said as Adam got up from his table to shake my hand. He had to be at least 6'6" because he towered over me.
"Nice to meet you." He said as he flashed me a pearly white smile.
"Ditto." I said as I eyed the other boy who was seated on Alex's left. He must be Sean."Sean" was almost as good looking as Adam. He had olive toned skin that was paired with dark hair. "Sean" had a clean crew cut which made him look exactly like Taylor Lautner. He smiled at me as he stuck his hand out.
"Sean Hawthorn."I sent him a half smile as I shook his hand.
"Evelyn Derwin." I said as I let go of his large hand.
"So now you have met our schools receiver and running back." Alex said as he looped his arms around my waist. I looked up and saw him sending a death glare at Sean who was staring at me with his dreamy brown eyes. Alex's strong finger tips pressed into my hip as Sean winked at me.
"Now lunch anyone?" I asked as I slipped out of Alex's grip."Ooo food!" Georgie said as she pulled Riley towards the food carts.
"Here Evelyn, I'll pay. Can you go and get me a bottle of water though?" Alex asked as he handed me his wallet. It was one of those leather wallets, except his had been worn out in a few too many places.
"Thanks Alex." I said as I gingerly took a twenty out of his wallet. He smiled at me and gestured for me to follow the other girls. I thanked him again as I ran to catch up with the others."He totally likes her." I heard Georgie say as I popped up behind her.
"Who likes who?" I asked as I looked at the Portillos menu.
"Alex and you. Duh!" Riley squealed as she grabbed my wrist.
"No, he doesn't like me. We're only friends." I mumbled as my face turned pink.
"Oh really, then why was he all protective of you when you met Sean and Adam, and why is he yelling at Sean right now?" Georgie asked as she turned and pointed at the direction of Alex and Sean. My heart skipped a beat at what I saw.Alex's face was bright red and the vein in his neck was looked as if it were having a cesurae. The muscles in his arms were flexing as he clenched his fists at his sides. Sean's face was tight and apologetic, but at the same time his eyes showed loathing properties.
"See, he does like you." Reenie said as she broke our silence.
"Maybe." I mumbled as I ordered my lunch. I got a chopped salad without chicken and two bottles of water. I waited beside the cart for everyone to order, and as soon as Ryan ordered her Italian beef we bolted towards the boys. When Alex's stormy gray eyes met mine and his storm seemed to go away. Sean even managed to send a smile my way as Adam pulled up a few more chairs.
"Thanks." Reenie said as she sat in the seat next to Adam.
"What are friends for?" Adam asked as he flirtatiously winked.
