Should I post less and make chapters longer or post more and make them be like 3 pages and such?
the questions I ask myself.
+++
As soon as my dizziness subsided I understood the lunchroom's size.
There had to be at least 1,000 kids inside, searching and scavenging for a table or a chair to sit in. Already kids were piling on the floors, barricades, or anywhere with a flat surface. I was lucky though, all the football players had gotten a table already and were starting to shove in next to Kendal and the rest of them. I sighed quietly to myself as I walked towards the food line.
How was no one else uncomfortable with so many people in one room?
The questions one asks themselves while they are standing in a pizza line.
I finally got my food and slid into a seat next to Alex.
"So Evelyn, are you coming to my party?" Adam asked as he slid next to Reenie. I nodded and mumbled mmhmm and stuffed my face with pizza.
"Just don't get carried away. Someone needs to drive us home." Georgie joked as her blue eyes crinkled with laughter.
"Haha ya." I said as I thought of my contest with Danny. Not like last time.
Adam's words flashed before my eyes as I brushed them off.
What had happened though?
"I heard you got into a shot contest." Kendal said as she sipped her pink Crystal Light.
"Yup." I said as I sipped my water.
"Better win." Blake said as he winked at me. Alex grumbled something as Adam whispered something in his ear.
"Oh ya, I plan on it." I said confidently as I popped a French fry in my mouth.
"Better not have money on it, Danny's got some drinking skills." Riley said as she stabbed at her salad.
"Mmm, hasn't met me yet." I said as I smiled at Alex who stared dumbfounded at me.+++
The rest of the day was a blur, and then finally I got to sink into Alex's comfortable leather car seats.
"So how did you like your first day?" Alex asked as he pulled out of his parking space.
"Um okay I guess?" I said as I shoved the rest of my chemistry book in my bag.
"That's good." Alex murmured as his phone beeped. He side glanced at his screen and then focused his eyes back on the road.
"Mind readin' that Evvy?" Alex asked as he took a left turn. I nodded and picked up his phone gingerly. It was from Logan, Blake, and James and they all asked nearly the same question.
James had said:
Hey bro, r u w/ that chick Evelyn? If not can I ask her out? I would love to do that lady;)
Ew.
The next one was Logan.
Alex my man! I was just wonderin if you were asking Evelyn to the summer dance. If not, is it ok if I do?
Flattering but no.
Lastly Blake.
Alex, hey can we like talk bout Evelyn? Really wanna take her out for pizza but I don't know how to ask her. Ur good with girls, help?
Awe. But still no.
"Um Evelyn anything important?" Alex asked as he stopped at a red light. I could feel my cheeks burning as I handed him his phone.
"Just Logan, James, and Blake." I said quietly as I stared at the dashboard. My face was a dark crimson as his eyes scanned his screen. Realization washed over his face as his eyes widened.
