Holy shit you're kidding me right?

After nodding off for a few minutes, I was awoken by the sound of rubber soles on the tile floor. Not far after the footsteps Mrs. Jonason, our middle-aged science teacher, started to sigh.
"Really Daniel? Late on your first day?" I opened my eyes partly and instantly my eyes popped out of my head.
In the front of the room was a boy, but damn, he looked more like an angel.
The Daniel boy had a halo of brown locks, looking freshly wind blown and slightly teased, almost as if he had just woken up. He had lazy blue eyes, and a grin that made me want to kiss him right on the spot.
He totally ignored Mrs. Jonason's question, and sent his lazy smile towards her.
"Nice to see you too." He said as he winked her way. Our teacher just sighed in annoyance as she rolled her eyes, but most other girls sighed out of admiration and affection. I rolled my eyes at their sighs, but then felt my heart beat increase as he made his way towards my table.
I could feel Alex tense beside me as he clenched his jaw. Daniel made his way back slowly, almost as if he knew he was being watched by every soul in the room, and then he took a seat next to me.
Like actually next to me.
Just my luck.
As he slid into his plastic chair he bent over his desk and rested an elbow on my own.
"So," he breathed, his breath smelling like cigarettes and cinnamon, "you're new here I'm guessing?" His breath made me feel tingly but I still bobbed my head, a smile starting to form on my lips.
"Well then, I'm Danny Waren. Official trouble maker and head case of Hodgekin High." He breathed out as he tugged on his leather jacket sleeve cuffs.
I could feel my cheeks turning pink, and all I could do was smile like an idiot.
"I'm Evelyn Derwin." I said as I pushed my chestnut waves behind my ear. Danny smiled at me and breathed out slowly.
"Evelyn," he mumbled, almost to himself, "beautiful name."
I could then feel the real blush coming, and I could also feel Alex's glower. Danny looked past me, and then frowned when he made eye contact with Alex.
"Already found the popular bastard." Danny mumbled as he ran a hand through his messy hair.
"Alex." Danny said formally as he met Alex's stony glance, with a stare that could almost top his.
"Danny." Alex said trough gritted teeth.
"Thought you were going to Germany." Danny said with a scowl.
"Thought you were going back to jail, or better yet, the insane asylum." Alex said as his husky voice dripped with hatred. Danny only made a half smile, and then cracked his knuckles.
"I got out of both last year. Gotta have a good record for the new year, ya know." Danny said as he put his legs up on his desk. He crossed his black jeans and then squeaked his leather shoes together.
"Don't want to start off bad before college." Danny said in a way that made my heart flutter.
Why was I so love sick for boys this week?
I allowed my lips to fall into a half-smile, and then started trying to pay attention to the teacher.
Let me tell you, sitting next to two really hot guys did not help the situation.
