Kakashi had been walking for around an hour or so before you started moving against him in your sleep. At first, he thought it was kind of cute but as time went on he grew concerned due to some of the words coming out of your mouth. He furrowed his eyebrows together. "What could possibly be making her so upset?" He thought out loud to himself as he glanced down at you.

"Please...Not this again..." You mumbled while clutching Kakashi's shirt. "I don't want to die." You started to cry and hyperventilate in your sleep making Kakashi stop dead in his tracks. With a worried look on his face, he sat down on the ground and pulled you closer to him.

"(Y/n) everything is okay." He gently rubbed your back and continued to whisper calming words into your ear. You slowly started to calm down, and not long after you did calm down your eyes fluttered open.

"Kakashi sensei..?" You questioned once you rubbed your eyes. He pulled away from the tight embrace and looked at you.

"You were having a nightmare I do believe... I was only trying to calm you down." he scratched the top of his head. "You seem to be doing better now." He added after a few moments of silence. You nodded before standing up, a grunt following soon after.

"Yeah... I suppose so." You said quietly before turning to Kakashi and smiling. "Well let's get a move on, it's almost nightfall." Kakashi nodded and stood up walking beside you.

"Do you want to talk about what happened back there?" Kakashi looked at you waiting for an answer.

"Simple. Since my chakra level was depleted after dealing with the first seven idiots. The armor I made was obviously weak, plus the armor couldn't stand an attack like that. I'm actually quite surprised she was able to land that attack on me without me noticing it. My chakra being depleted also explains why you... Got hurt. Again. Without the armor I put on you, the chances of your injury being worse increases by almost a 48.76 percent, furthermore my chance of survival would have been 0." You explained while looking down.

"It's no wonder why you were at the top of your class (y/n)," Kakashi commented while glancing at you. You nodded and smiled to yourself for a little bit before returning back to a serious face.

"However, even though I planned out many scenarios in my head and acted upon instinct I left you behind and therefore, I shouldn't be praised. You got injured because of it and I ended up almost getting myself killed." You grunted once more, the pain in our side getting worse and you were limping a little bit.

Kakashi was impressed with how you recognized your mistakes and was also surprised that someone your age could understand and handle a situation like the one you both just got out of.

" I'm actually rather impressed and I wanted to talk to you about what I plan to tell the Hokage, but that can wait until you are all better and we finish the mission." Kakashi looked at you before turning his attention back to the scenery in front of him. Suddenly you felt him patting your head and you looked up at him.

"The important thing is that we're both alive...And we're alive because of your courage and strength. I want to thank you (y/n)." Kakashi smiled with his eye and turned away once you had muttered a small "No p-problem." You blushed to yourself and your heart started racing. 'He actually said he's impressed with me! And he thanked me! Of all people! Oh, my gosh!' You were mentally fangirling over what your sensei just said to you, you didn't know it, but Kakashi was able to see the blush on your face and he was smirking to himself.

It took Kakashi and you around another hour to get to the first hotel and hot spring on the road you were following and you were praying that the others were here and safe. You were practically sprinting to the door, Kakashi close behind. He was just as worried as you were. Once you entered the hotel you walked up to the front desk.
