Guinan walks over to their table "hello Data"  she says Data looks over at his friend and replies "hello Guinan"  Dezirae and Guinan nod at one another in greeting "I should....!"  Dezirae starts and Data looks over at her and quickly grips her wrist gently Dezirae looks down at his hand on her wrist as though just noticing what he has done he lets go and slides his hand away Desiree sits back down with a smile "I suppose I won't then!"  she teases Guinan chuckles Dezirae turns and looks out of the window once more Data watches her and Guinan walks away still smiling "I am sorry"  Data says softly Dezirae looks over at him "no worries Data.... no harm was done"  he smiles at her Picard walks over to the two and says "ah!.... there you are!!"  Dezirae looks over in his direction and says "Captain.... have questions do you!?"  Picard smiles as he replies "plenty"  she waves over to a seat next to Data "then come.... join us.... and I will do my best to answer what I can"  Picard smiles at her and sits next to Data in the chair she waved to and says "I noticed that while in the Transporter Room that once you looked at or were near Data you seemed fine.... and when you weren't next to him.... you were in pain"  Dezirae says "ah.... yes.... well... unlike the rest of you there isn't much to read from Data.... in an emotional sense anyway and I was sensing a lot all at once from the moment I entered this ship from everyone inside it.... as long as I concentrated on him it was much calmer and before you ask.... no.... I am not a Betazoid..... I don't believe I have a "species" Captain"....

Dezirae had lived on the Enterprise for almost a week now and she has already made more friends than she ever has in her whole life.... the only friends she had ever made before were the Soong's.... now she has Wesley Crusher, Will Riker, Worf, Picard, Geordi, Guinan, Miles O'Brian and of course Data.... she was still learning her way around the ship and stepped inside a holodeck curious as to what it was and what it did.... Deanna had heard crying and walked in finding Dezirae standing right where the holo of her friend Tasha had once stood at the memorial of her death.... Dezirae turns when she senses Deanna walk in and says "hello Counselor"  Deanna looks at her and asks "why are you crying!?!"  Dezirae lets out a short soft breathy laugh then says "it's a wonder how the saddest moment still lingers in this place.... she seemed very loved.... in many ways.... whoever she was"  Dezirae looks past Deanna and says "hello Data"  she walks over to him and out of the room Data follows her curiously as she heads back to her quarters Data reaches out and grips her wrist gently she turns around and looks him in the eyes with a smile and says "once again Data you....!"  Data interrupts "I want to show you.... I have the Captains permission to...."  she tilts her head curiously as he takes her to the Turbolift "Bridge"  he tells the Computer once they're inside the Turbolift and it starts up her eyes widen in surprise....

Dezirae stands in the open doorway as Data walks out onto the Bridge Picard turns and looks at her standing in the Turbolift doorway he smiles and says "enter"  she returns the smile and walks in everyone looks over in her direction also smiling "feel free to look around"  Picard tells her she nods and walks over to Worf "just don't touch anything!"  Picard teases with a smile "I shall try to refrain myself from doing so Captain!"  she teases back "it might be harder than it sounds though!"  she mutters still teasing then with a smile she says "hello Worf"  Worf nods at her with a smile she walks down to where the Captain is "R"  she nods with a smile at him "hello Dez"  Riker returns the smile with one of his own as she walks over to Wesley "hey Wes"  Wesley turns in his seat and says shyly "hi"  then turns back to the controls in front of him she walks over and stands by Data looking over at the large Viewscreen she hooks her arms behind her back holding onto her own wrist as she stands Picard asks "would you like to sit!?"  she turns over to him with a smile and replies "no thank you Captain.... I'm fine"  a chair appears behind her "did you not hear me Q!?.... I said no!"  she says looking around Data looks up at her in surprise as Q appears next to her and says "how rude!.... I was just trying to be polite"  she chuckles softly then says with a soft sarcastic tone "I never realized you had such a capability to do so Q!"  Q pretends to look wounded as he says with his hand laying upon his chest "the thing you say!.... you hurt my feelings Dez!"  Desiree answers "another thing I never realized you possessed.... you're not exactly known for your selflessness Q"  Q gently grips her chin lifting her head up to meet him and coos "oh my dear desire"  she turns her head quickly slipping it out of his grip then says "I have permission to be here Q.... I don't remember the Captain saying the same about you!"  Q laughs then replies "I do not need permission...."  Dezirae lowers her eyes at him "Dez"  Q says softly looking into her eyes "only my friends call me that.... and YOU "dear" Q are NOT a friend!"  she tells him Q looks at her sadly "now leave before I MAKE you leave!"  she demands sharply with sadness in his eyes Q disappears but the chair stays where he left it
