Dezirae became worried she was honest with all those she held dear to her tiny heart (metaphorically speaking of course).... which was bigger than she realized.... the truths she learned about herself and to her surprised they were all very excepting of her new truth she was now worried that the human xenologist that was welcome aboard to study the Entity along with the crew would find out and ask her more questions than she could much less would answer for she had informed the Enterprise crew that she knew less than they did about the Entity "just because it created me doesn't mean it taught me about it!.... can you imagine your own creation knowing the only way to kill you!? and they have given me plenty of reasons to want to try"  she had told them.... "I don't want to meet her!.... I don't want to know her!.... I don't want anything to do with her!"  Dezirae tells Data in soft whispered tones he grips her arms then pulls her to his chest and kisses the top of her head which makes her smile "she had a son.... Renny.... a adorable little boy on Omicron Theta she may be slightly harsh with you blaming you for your brothers.... assistance in the cause of his death"  she warns into his chest and she feels him nod she looks up kisses his lips then shoos him out of their quarters so that he was not late for duty.... a few hours later after he returns he asks Dezirae to sit so he could play her a song she smiles and does as he "ordered" and he picks up his Spanish guitar and starts strumming "I know I need work but...."  he says after he misses a few keys he feels her lay her head in his shoulder and hears her whisper softly  "it's beautiful Data!.... I needed that.... thank you!"  he feels her kiss his cheek and smiles as she once again lays her head on his shoulder and he resumes playing and watches as she slowly starts to fall asleep "I thought you would like it"  he whispers then he kisses the top of her head as he continues to strum on the guitar until he hears the doorbell chime he stops playing sets the guitar down picks Dezirae up and says "come in"  as he carries her to bed as quickly and gently as he could and as he reaches their sleeping area Dr Kila Marr walks in and asks "am I disturbing you?"  Data replies as he returns to the room she is now in "not at all, Doctor"  Marr says "Commander, there's something I want to say you have been helpful to me, and kind, and I repaid you with accusations, and I realize I may have been wrong"  Data replies "that is very gracious of you to say, Doctor, but I have not been injured by you"  Marr says "Captain Picard has told me you've done work in trying to establish communication with the Entity"  Data replies "that is true I have experimented with producing vibrations in crystals by means of gravitation pulses"  Mar asks "like tapping a crystal goblet?"  Data replies as he walks over to his desk and sits down "exactly I will call up the results I have achieved this far for you to study"  Marr asks "all right Commander, just what kind of memories do you retain of the colonists?"  Data replies "I do not possess the minute to minute remembrances of each person, although the more intense recollections are contained in my memory banks"  Marr asks "do you have any of my son's memories?"  Data replies "Marr.... Raymond called Renny yes I do"  Marr asks "I see and his journals?"  Data replies "yes"  Marr asks "I was wondering.... do you know.... did he blame me?"  Data asks curiously "blame you?"  Marr asks "for going away for leaving him on Omicron Theta"  Data replies "there are no records of any blame against you"  Marr says "I left him with friends I chose to pursue my own career I planned to go back, but things kept interfering I kept thinking, "I'll go next month".... and there weren't any more next months"  Data replies "there are no records of any negative thoughts about you his personal journals indicated that he was proud that you were such a fine scientist"  Marr asks "he was? what else do you know?"  Data opens his mouth to answer but closes it back up when he hears Dezirae wake up screaming and he stands up and rushes into his sleeping room where a perspiring Dezirae is breathing erratically and he knew something was wrong before he was even told he walks over to her and says softly "I have to report for duty.... I will return when I can"  she smiles then gently grips his wrist and pulls him down so that her lips meet his in a kiss he smirks a very soft Data like smirk then says softly "go back to sleep"  she nods then closes her eyes he waits till he can tell she was completely resting then leaves the room with a smile on his face she always seemed to have that effect on him to make him smile when he knows he shouldn't be able too Marr looks at him oddly then they hear Riker say into the com "Commander Data, Doctor Marr, report to the Bridge immediately"  and she follows him out what Data did not realize was that even though she heard the terrified scream Marr did not see Dezirae as a matter of fact it is quite possible she thought he was speaking to and kissing his cat....
