Dezirae helps Sonya and Geordi reinstate power to the Shields then stays to help them with whatever else they needed seeing her half distracted stance Geordi makes sure to keep his friend as busy as possible especially after she tells him that Worf, Data and Riker had beamed aboard the Borg Cube she seemed to calm down slightly once she felt them return and they hear Picard order through the com "Lieutenant La Forge, I want Maximum Warp for as long as we can hold it"  Geordi replies as he and Dezirae get to work doing as he was ordered "yes, sir we are now passing warp 8.5, 8.8 Warp 9.... Bridge this Engineering we are now at Warp 9.65"..... a few minutes later Geordi calls down to the Bridge through the com "Engineering to Bridge"  he hears Picard reply "go ahead"  Geordi tells him "you've got all we can give you"  Picard replies "I understand, Mister La Forge"  Dezirae shrugs then says to Geordi "it's a machine not a being and not one I am fully use to in this capacity I can only do so much"  Geordi cups her shoulder with his hand and assures her "you did fine thank you for your assistance"  she nods then she walks out of the Engineering room.... "you can't outrun them you can't destroy them if you damage them, the essence of what they are remains they regenerate and keep coming eventually you will weaken, your reserves will be gone they are relentless"  Q says then he feels someone slap the back of his head.... hard he turns and looks at Dezirae who is standing behind him with a surprised expression on his face as he rubs the back of his head and whines "that hurt!"  she replies "good!.... it isn't like you don't deserve it you act like an spoiled child who's parents never spanked enough growing up and got bored of playing his favorite toy! and I think it's about time you shut your mouth and never open it again!"  he looks at her as though he can't believe she just insulted him and he mutters under his breath "we don't have parents!"  she rolls her eyes at him then walks away as Worf says to Picard "the Borg ship is firing"  the ship shakes slightly as the Borg ships weapon hits the Enterprises shield then he says "we have lost Shields again"  then they get fired upon again and they hear Geordi say through the com "Captain, we've just lost the Warp Engines"  Q asks "where's your stubbornness now, Picard, your arrogance? do you still profess to be prepared for what awaits you?"  Worf says to Picard "the Borg ship is re-establishing its Tractor Beam"  Riker orders "lock on Photon Torpedoes"  Worf replies "yes, sir"  Data turns in his seat which spins with him and says "without our Shields, at this range there is a high degree of probability that a photon detonation could destroy the Enterprise"  Picard looks at Riker who was looking at him and nods "prepare to fire"  Riker orders Q uses his abilities to make him and Data switch places and says as Data stands up from his new spot on the floor then walks over to where Dezirae stands leaning up against the wall with her fingers massaging her forehead "I'll be leaving now you thought you could handle it, so handle it"  Picard orders "Q end this"  Q replies "moi? what makes you think I am either inclined or capable to terminate this encounter?"  Picard says "if we all die, here, now, you will not be able to gloat you wanted to frighten us we're frightened you wanted to show us that we were inadequate for the moment, I grant that you wanted me to say I need you I need you!"  Q snaps his fingers and the ship moves in a speed it has only done once before when he made it move into the Borg's part of space once the ship stops moving Riker asks "position?"  Wesley replies "0 7 0, mark 6 3, sir back where we started"  Picard sighs and Q once again uses his ability to swap places this time with Riker making Picard look at his Number One then the nobody who wishes he were somebody "that was a difficult admission another man would have been humiliated to say those words another man would have rather died than ask for help"  Q says "I understand what you've done here, Q, but I think the lesson could have been learned without the loss of eighteen members of my crew"  Picard replies "if you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed it's not safe out here it's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross, but it's not for the timid"  Q says "the lives lost are worth more than you can ever imagine Q! just because your selfishly egotistical doesn't mean everyone is! nobody on this ship is as bad as YOU when it comes to their lack of humanity!"  Dezirae replies he smiles at her then disappears and Riker and Data are returned to their "proper place" and Picard orders "Mister Crusher, set course for the nearest Starbase"  Wesley replies "course laid in for Starbase 83, sir"  Picard says "Engage"....
