\Eacker'S POV/

Two days had passed since the recapture of the Bitch that ran away, I noticed.

I was looking around for the Stables Boy when I heard a shout, my head turning to see what the commotion was about. All of a sudden, I felt an overwhelming heat.

I backed away quickly enough to trip over a pole, flipping backwards. The person, that was currently on fire continued to scream, running around, setting houses and people's belongings on fire.

"Somebody stop him!" A woman cried, clutching two children to her legs, unable to go into the safety of her home as it is in fact, not safe. It's on fire, actually.

I struggle to get up as the fire continue to burns brighter, feeding on old wood. I managed to get my footing just as the horses realized what was happening.

Oh, fuck.

I heard a scream and I turned just to see the horses bucking wildly. Seabury came running in, trying to soothe them, but Hell, there's a fire not even five feet away! You can't soothe shit, mister!

"Water!" I yelled out, my voice already hoarse. "Get water from the river! Go!" I ran up to some people and pushed them along as they grabbed buckets, leading them to the tree line. I stopped and looked back to see so, so much fire.

The person that had started this was laying in the midst of it, presumedly dead.

I scoffed, then choked, pushing at people's backs as they passed, leading them.

Finally, someone he was searching for came running out.

"Jefferson!" He called, waving an arm in the air. His Leader looked frantic, jogging up to him. "What the shit is this?"

Eacker pointed. "A man, presumably a rogue, was set on fire and ran into here. Villagers are currently heading to the river to fill buckets, sir."

Thomas Jefferson's eyes widened, more then they were before. "Eacker, did it ever occur to you that this could be a trap? And, did you leave the Villagers...alone? At the river?" His eyes were cold and unyielding.

Oh, shit.

I didn't reply to him. I turned, sprinting into and past the tree line, Jefferson hot on my heels.

\Madison POV/

I tilted my head at her. "Anyways, what's your name, Miss?"

She tilted her head the opposite way, mocking with a smirk on her lips. "Now, why would I tell you?"

I lifted one shoulder, shrugging, laying head back on the gate cell door, bringing my knees to my chest. "Well, I don't know. I can't just keep calling you 'Lady In Red' in my head, though."

The Rogue gave a little smile of amusement, crossing her legs, only four feet away, facing me. "Maria. Maria...Clement." She tilted her head again, squinting. "And what of you? What are you called?"

I was suspicious of her hesitance but put it aside, laying my arms between my legs, fingers tapping lightly on the floor, making patterns. "You can call me James. James Madison." I flashed a smile at her.

Maria smiled a little, again, tugging at her red dress, fiddling with her fingers. She looked back up, squinting again. "What's your rank?"

"Why would you want to know?" I pressed.
