\Lafayette POV/
A heavy thump and a sudden weight on my chest made me jolt, eyes snapping open and blinking the fatigue away, narrowing in on Herc that was currently straddling my chest, head leaned down, smiling like a child. He didn't seem to realize the position, yet.
"It's nine in the afternoon, Laf." Herc stated in a soft voice, looking giddy. "You know what that means?"
My mind went blank. "My eyes will be the size of the moon...?"
"What?," The man tilted his head, only inching forward. "No, you dork. It means to get ready for the night out with the others."
"Oh!" I had completely forgotten, "Why didn't you say so?" I wrapped my arms around Herc's waist suddenly and lifted him as I stood up.
Herc yelped, clinging to me like a koala, eyes wide. "Put me down, asshole!"
I only laughed, quietly, setting him down onto the bed before turning around and pulling off my shirt to change. I heard a choked noise behind and turned my head to see Herc staring at me, cheeks flushed. I wonder why?
At my look he quickly turned away, lips set in a thin line. I merely shrugged it off and put on a new shirt, keeping the same pants, grabbing a random cloak from the floor. "Ready?" I called back into the room, tying my frizzy hair up and putting my hood up.
I looked over after a moment of silence and saw Herc nervously fiddling with his own mask. My eyebrows furrowed, head tilting. "You okay, amour? You were excited earlier."
He seemed to snap out of the state he was in, blinking, cheeks tainted pink. "O-Oh, yeah, I'm hyped. Just thinking, 'tis all." He then wordlessly put up his own hood and mask, the wooden bear-like face pearing up at me, black eyes blinking behind.
I smiled fondly, puting on my own mask, an eloquent flamingo, of course. I blew out the candles, and both Herc and I set off into the night to find the others.

\John POV/
I was walking down this long hallway, as usual when I can't sleep, when suddenly, a knock was heard to my left. I turned my head to see a familiar bear mask.
I opened the window and saw Herc, eyes wide. "Dude! This window is like, six feet from the ground-" I then saw the head inbetween his legs, adorning a flamingo mask. Of course.
Wait. "Is it this day?" I whispered, and Herc nodded, eyes squinting, what normally happens when he's smiling. Laf then stepped back, dropping Herc, motioning towards the side door by the barracks. I nodded, understanding, closing the window quietly and fuckin sprinting back to my dorm, changing quickly and grabbing my mask.
I quickly made my way down the corridors to Alexander's, knocking four times than thrice more after a pause, hoping he'd remember. It's been awhile since we've been able to do this, I thought to myself, as I ran back towards the side door where a bear and a flamingo should be waiting.

\Alexander POV/
I was up late again that night, as normal, scribbling furiously, a pile of papers stacked on my bed. I needed to finish this by dawn, but my hands were aching, my eyes slipping shut.
Suddenly, I heard a knock. I went to stand up but then realized it sounded familiar-
Oh. It was that time again, it seems. looked back towards the work and shook my head, deciding it could wait. I changed quickly into dark clothing, tied my hair back, put my hood on, and grabbed the familar mask under my bed.
