She was always there, radiating her warmth Spinning laughter through the pale dress she wore She left her mark on everything she touched Her scent, as she would pass by That girl, she could chase all your demons away, when she looked into your eyes.
At night, she would sit up, staring at a starry sky but on her canvas, she would paint black as turquoise She brought the light into every dark corner and, caused a frozen heart to thaw yet no one thought to thank her they took for granted what she had sewn.
Feeling as though she wasn't needed, she allowed herself to slip away because you never think to thank the ground until you realize how it feels to fall. Or just how much you need the sun, until it doesn't rise at all.
