You tell me I have no faith in you,
when I am doubtful of your words,
but you don't understand,
that it is not you I fail to trust
You know, he said the same things,
He fed me all the lies,
told me that he loved me,
that I was the center of his eyes,
you know, that I believed him,
I thought,
I could be someone's world,
someone who would go out of their way for me,
held me in the way some,
would only hold a lord.
And yet, for 6 tears out of ten,
he told another girl
the same words
the same nights,
perfectly comprised
all the while, stupid me,
thought I was his life.
Perhaps, he
was a lesson learnt,
one In which I deeply regret,
and I know not all lovers can be the same,
but fear-
is not something we forget.
