chapter twenty

july 14th
~natalie's pov.~

   i sit in the boys changing room and just think about what i did wrong. i thought i was enough but obviously not.

   "hey nat. we are about to go on. you sure you're okay?" jack asks opening the door to look at me.

   i just nod my head.

   "i'll come back in right after everything. i love you." jack says closing the door.

   i was surprised jack was so helpful, i mean i know he cares but this much?

   "hey nat." lilly says walking in.

   she comes in and sits next to me as i go over and hug her.

   "how are you feeling?" she asks.

   "i could obviously be better."

   "yeah i know." she says smiling while squeezing me.

   "well i'm gonna be with you during the show."

   "you sure?"

   "of course! you're my best friend."

   "thank you"

   "no problem"

   we sit in the back for most of the time. we just joke around and she gets a few smiles out of me. i really couldn't ask for a better best friend.

   i laugh at something lilly says, "woah your laughing." jack says walking in the door.

   "well that's good to see!" jonah says messing up my hair.

   "ya. well where is he?" i ask.

   "changing in the bathroom." corbyn says.

   "shouldn't he be changing here?" i ask confused.

   "he needs to keep his space." daniel says taking off his shirt.

   they boys all change their shirts and give me hugs.

   "we'll be back soon. don't go anywhere." jack says.

   "actually meet us at the hotel. we're gonna go for a swim." lilly says grabbing my hand and taking me to the door.
