chapter seven

april 13th (continued)
~natalie's pov.~

   emily runs up and knocks the door. a boy with curly hair opens the door. i've seen those curls before.

   "hey what's up?" jack asks.

   "oh hi my name is emily. we're your new neighbors." emily smiles and points at me.

   "NATALIE? NATALIE SMITH?!" jack yells. "YOU ARE OUR NEW NEIGHBOR?!?"

   "OMG JACK!!" i run up and hug him. "YOU DO NOT LIVE HERE!"

   "well i do. now come on in." jack says. "how about we surprise the boys."

   "sounds good."

   i take emily's hand and the three of us walk in. i look around and feel my heart drop.

   julia's here. and on top of zach kissing him passionately.

   well what a nice surprise. this sucks. i decide i'll just keep a brave face on.

  jack clears his throats getting their attention. "um zach? someone's here." he says.

~zach's pov.~

   jack clears his throats getting my attention. "um zach? someone's here." he says.

   i break away from julia and look next to jack to see natalie standing there awkwardly. she smiles her beautiful smile, i see her amazing blue eyes all red and her long lushes brown hair all messy. but god she's beautiful.

   but then i realize julia is on top of me. i push her off me and see natalie is putting on a fake smile. i can tell she's hurt.

   i know that i'm now with julia but natalie was always my first choice. i still texted her but we are both so busy. i was busy with work and she had school but since i got with julia i've been missing work and showing up late which i know the guys the hate.

   i know it was only two days i spent with natalie but it felt like a lifetime. i had such a great time. she is perfect. we had something different i never had before.

~natalie's pov.~

   i stand there awkwardly as zach stares at me with julia on his lap. he soon pushes her off and walks over to me.

   "um hey." he says awkwardly giving me a quick hug.

   "hi" i say nervously scratching my arm.

   "so why are you guys here in la?" he asks starting to become more comfortable.

   "well.. uh.. we moved into the house next door." i said stuttering.

   "oh really? wow that's cool."

   "um babe, what's the fuss?" julia asks.

   "oh nothing. this is just a girl i met in new york. she moved in next door." he said smiling at me.

   "oh so some stupid fan?" julia asks all snobby.
