chapter twenty-one

august 16th
~natalie's pov.~

   lately i haven't really talked to the boys. i've talked to jack once a week but that's it.

   currently it's 12:04pm and i'm walking cozmo with emily. we walk past the boy's house and i just move on. i don't know when they get back but zach's not worth my time. i can't deal with drama.

   "nat, are you okay?" emily asks as we past their house.

   "i will be. it just kinda hurts." i say.

   "it will be okay." emily says hugging me.

   "i know. thank you."  i say wrapping my free hand around her.

   "NATALIE!!" someone yells from behind me and i jump.

   i turn around to see jack running toward us. "jack oh my gosh! you guys are back?!" i yell running into his arms.

   "yup! well who's this little guy?" jack says bending down petting cozmo.

   "he's my dog." i say.

   "he's cute." jack says.

   "sure is!" emily says happily.

   just then daniel, corbyn, and jonah all run out and i go hug them same with emily.

"natalie! we're back!" daniel yells.

"wait really?" i say laughing.

"it's so good to see you again!" corbyn yells.

"and you!" i say smiling. it's so nice to be back with the boys.

"wow how long have we been gone? you look old!" jonah jokes.

"too long!" i laugh.

"sure has! but we're back baby!" jack yells.

   "yeah" i laugh. "so where's zach?" i ask.

   "uhh he's.. out." corbyn says.

   "where?" i ask.

   "somewhere." jonah says as if he's hiding something.

   all i could think of was he was back with julia. of course he's with julia. what else did i expect?

   "oh okay." i say confused.

   we all go inside and we play 2k17. we all
can play because the boys have like 100 x-boxs.

   "yes let's go!" i yell as i make a three against jonah.

   "dude how are you so good?" he asks.

   "practice." i say smiling.

   we continue playing, i end up beating jonah 102-89, jack beats emily 112-70, and daniel beats corbyn 93-90. it was fun showing off my video game skills.

   "hey. where is everyone?" i hear a familiar voice say.

   "we're in our room." jack says.
