•I talked to the person in my head,
to see if maybe we could get along
she said "my foot is hollow",
and I asked her what that meant
she said she walked everywhere but never really went
she was always there but never really present
and when the day was done she felt its efforts like the pages of a bible
and that constant need to represent herself as new,
as someone who could walk down the street and not get stuck ,
someone with the world drawn to the palms of her hands,
someone with consistency,
who can look at her goals and think "nothing can limit me"
because she knows what she wants and
what it means to just be.I asked if she knows what I do
she said, "the human experience is as constant as the tide,
waves always there but always seconds apart,
and if you can't see the end then
how do you know where you really start?"
and I asked her how she came to be so knowledgeable,
with feet made of air and a voice like glass,
how had she made it so far?she said she hasn't made it yet
and offered,
"I'm only as strong as you are."- ch
