Sniper. I slap in a fresh clip of ammo into the gun and put in on my back holster. Check. SMGs. I checked my side holsters and both were there. Check.
Locus was kind enough to replace my weapons I lost during the crash. Grenades. I clip two frags and two teleporter grenade to my belt, along with my lightsaber I still have no idea how to use.
"Did I get everything Beta?" I ask.
She appears beside me. "Yep. Running a scan on your shields and enhancements.. you're good to go."
"Alrighty. Let's pay the Blood Gulch crew a nice visit shall we?" I walk out of my room and head to the docking bay.
"Ghost! Wait up!" A voice behind me calls. I turn my head slightly and notice that it was Carolina in her gray armor calling me. I slow my pace so she can catch up and we continued to walk.
"How everything?" I asked quietly.
"I have good news and bad news." Carolina answers quietly.
"Can't be as bad as not being able to talk to any of the Boys."
Carolina hits my arm with her elbow. "Ok fine. What's the news?" I say rubbing my arm.
"The bad news: Remember when I told you about our little mission on stealing some information and we almost got caught by three mercs? Well they stepped up the security so now it's really hard to get information now. I'm going to have to rely on you to get the info."
I sigh. "Yay..."
"I know you don't like being around Felix. But this leads to the good news: we have someone who wants to join us."
I looked at her in shock. "Seriously?"
She nods. "His name is Zander Andrews. 16. He survived Merdieran fighting the Covenant for three years before the UNSC came and dropped him off here. Locus found him during one of the battles of the Capital and took him in and he's now one of the mercs here. He used to look up to Locus as a father because he raised him. But since now he found out about all the things he and Felix has done.. he's willing to help our cause."
Zander.. that name sounds familiar.."Did I train him once?" I ask.
"I believe he is in your knife combat class. He wears Recon armor."
"Oh him." I say, remembering the teen. He came to me the evening after the first class and asked if I could train him more in the skill of the knife and I agreed. He's one of my top students in my class so I'm glad that he wants to join us.
"Now you know who I'm talking about." Carolina says. "He's going to be joining us on our part of the mission so we will be able to talk to him without no one interrupting."
"That's sounds like a good plan." I reply. We arrived at the Docking Bay. Felix and Locus were already there loading up the Pelican. Felix is leaning on some crates, tossing one of his many knives up in the air and catching it over and over again. He looks over to us and stops.
"Lina you were supposed to be here a 15 minutes ago to help out with loading the supplies." He scolds once we reached him.
"Sorry sir. I didn't-" Came Carolina's reply.
"You didn't know? Well that's just-"
"Felix it's ok." I say, interrupting him. "I was asking how the missions were like in her point of view. I didn't know you needed her."
He looks over at me and sigh. "Alright. Lina help out with whatever else is left." He ordered.
"Yes sir." She walks off to help another space mercs with a heavy box.
