Alesia's POV
"Bye" I told Calum the moment he was about to leave. He didn't turn around nor returned a goodbye. I assumed he didn't hear or he just ignored me. I closed the door gently and turned around to be greeted by my mom.
"You're a bit late?" She said with a smirk on her lips.
"Uhm, uh, the- the walk was tiring" I stuttered then bit my lip. I dug my hands into my pockets then strolled to my room.
"I see you've made a friend?" She added.
"What? What?! No! I mean, huh? He's. She--" I rambled on and on but she cut.
"I saw him." She smiled at me.
"He's not a friend, he just, i didn't know the way back home and he happened to be there!" I whined, I heard her laugh when I stormed off to my room.
I hated it when mom acted like this. She was honestly annoying. And she smiled like there was someone special. And no, calum doesn't even count me as a friend. Or does he? I doubt he does. I brain-stormed again and again, then again until my head hurt. I was trying to remember his last name. He said he was having band practices right? So I kind of got curious. Maybe he was famous? So that's why he isolated hisself from people from school? But anyway his last name was at the tip of my tongue but i just can't get my mouth to say it. I typed 'Calum' on my phone leaving a space for awhile, 'Calum Hood' was on the top of the suggestion box thingy that pops out when you type in incomplete stuff. Hood! That's it, his last name was hood. I clicked on it and saw various covers, one was a video of him with another guy. He was blonde and no lies said, he's attractive. No, not Calum. The guy, oh, the Luke guy. I never knew he could sing. Duh, you've only just met him idiot. They were from a band called, 5 Seconds of Summer. Here comes curiosity.
They were four. All good looking, ok enough of the face judging thingy. They all looked the same as my age. And they could play and sing. They were good. Ok stop. I'm just babbling on about nothing. I saw how many views they got and- What the actual fuck is this? Are they like famous or something? Ugh. How much did I miss here in Australia? The least I could've not know is Cody Simpson replacing the president, which is not gonna happen. If he was president then I'd be watching news all the time.
I need explanation from Calum.

I waited for Calum in the cafeteria and sat on my usual place, I haven't made much friends though. White lies. I have no friends actually. I saw him sit on his usual place and I walked towards him. His head shot up and annoyance built up in his eyes again. I don't get it, why was he so annoyed with me?
"What?" He asked too harshly.
"Hey! Stop being rude. I'm just trying to be nice" I rolled my eyes and sat across from the table.
"I don't need your kindness" I heard him mumble. He was starting to piss me off too. Isn't he supposed to be nice because I'm the new girl in town and the only one who's making an effort to be friends with him?
"Yeah you do. Well, either way you don't have a choice." I stuck my tongue out at him and munched on my sandwich.
"Why are you here?" He asked poking his salad with a fork and pushing them around.
"Because I'm being kind" I rolled my eyes once more.
"I said I didn't need y--"
"About your band.." I trailed off and at the same time cut his sentence.
"My what?" He asked with a puzzled look in his face.
"You guys are really good" I smiled and put down my sandwich, wiping the sides of my lips with a napkin.
"Thanks?" He said, raising his eyebrow and sounding as if he was unsure and questioning me. He didn't look back at me but instead he just continued to look down at his food. I realized that Calum had this really long fringe and his hair was always on one side like, what do you call those things? For girls its called as a scene hair? I don't really know.
"You sound unsure. What I said wasn't sarcastic, I'm telling the truth. You should thank me" I said sitting up straight and placing my hands on my lap.
"Uh, fine. Thank you" He rolled his eyes. I coughed and raised an eyebrow at him. "Thank you" he fake smiled, looking so sincere as he beamed.
"Much better" I smiled and continued on finishing my lunch. It wasn't long until he started talking again.
"Uh, how'd you find out about the band? I mean I didn't tell you the name..." He trailed off while fixing the beanie on his head.
"I got curios and asked youtube who the hell you guys were, oops." I babbled then covered my mouth.
"So you..."
"Yeah, and you're fucking famous?" I threw my hands up in the air and making it much of a big deal.
"Not really..." He looked away and started staring at random students in the room with us.
"Stop staring at people like that!" I hit his hand that was on the table. "You'll scare them" i hissed.
"They won't mind, they don't even know I exist." He shook his head and looked down to his hands, his hair covering his face again.
"Not for long Hood" I gave him a reassuring smile, "I know you'll go far, trust me. You'll just have to wait"
