Alesia's POV
"You suck" I told him while tucking the strands of hair behind my ear. Of course he walked me home, he had no choice and neither do I. I didn't know the way back.
"Hey, hey, you made us play 3 songs and we weren't good enough?" He looked at me with disbelief and dug his hands into the pockets of his uniform. I was beside him, trying to keep up with his huge steps. My legs were too short and my steps were like a baby's steps next to his.
"I let you play because I was already judging you" I rolled my eyes.
"Excuses, excuses" He sang and looked around innocently. We walked home silently and no, not awkward silence. Just, right silence. The type of silence I want to have when I'm with him. Calum wasn't much of a monster at all just plain, sarcastic and mean. I think that there was just something in the past that prevented him from people and made him isolate hisself from others.
"Calum, why are you isolating yourself from others?" I asked while shoving my hands in my jean pockets.
He stopped on his tracks and I was afraid he'd leave me, "It doesn't matter." He said flatly, staring at me.
I shrugged and we continued to walk. One thing for sure, Calum doesn't care about much at all. Really. The first time I met him in school, everything doesn't matter to him. Except from the incident at the mall though, it mattered a lot. I caught myself being stared at by Calum. He's already stopped on his tracks while I was standing with a huge smile on my face.
"Are you nuts or something?" He said a bit too bitter.
"What, uh, huh? No, no" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at him, he had these chocolate brown eyes that if you stare at them you probably will get lost. Others mostly say that they get lost in blue, green, and those type of eye colors but Calum's got me finding my way back home in them. Speaking of home,
"Aren't you going to go up?" Calum raised his eyebrows while pointing at the elevator.
"Hehe, ah. Haha. I don't use elevators. Haha! I use the stairs." I smiled awkwardly and headed to the stairs. Goddammit Alesia, he must've thought you were nuts.
"Uh, bye Cal!" I called after him while I was going up the stairs to our floor. He stopped on his tracks and nodded at me. One thing I figured out about Calum is that, he doesn't say bye, goodbye, see ya, or anything like that. Now I'm starting to get curious about his past. Did anyone leave him? But anyways, at least I made a friend. Was Calum my friend? Ugh, he's so confusing!
