Calum was nowhere to be found the whole day in school, I was worried to be honest. What if those guys thought about something really bad ass and decided to just beat Calum up. No, no, no. I ran out of school and thought of going to his place but then...
I don't know where he lives.
The only place I know was our apartment and Michael's house. Fuck yeah! I'll just drop by Michael's and ask for Calum's address. Right.
I walked to Michael's making sure I take the right way and wasn't going to be lost in nowhere. Finally, i found a familiar house and ran up to the front door. I stood there panting and rang the doorbell when I knew I was able to talk. I wasn't going to barge in like Calum used to, I've only met mike once and only been here once too. So i was going to act normal.
"Who's, oh hey. Sup?" Michael greeted walking back to their living room leaving the door opened for me to come in. I assumed he was alone again so I stepped in.
"Oh, hi dear. You must be Alesia, Calum's girl-" a lady came out from the kitchen. She was Michael's mom, I knew it. He resembles much of his mom, actually. I was startled for a second but calmed down after. What made her think that Calum was, nope. I won't even say it. Just to think about it makes me puke.
"Mom! For the last time, no. Calum doesn't have a girlfriend and Alesia isn't his girlfriend." Michael groaned raising his hands up in the air.
"Oh, silly me. Right time to drop by Al, I made sandwiches" She smiled at me, "I'll just go get them" with that she left me and Michael and went back to the kitchen.
"What made you drop by?" He said occupying the whole couch and digging his hands in his pockets for his phone.
"I was wondering if you could tell me where Calum lives" I shrugged and sat on the other couch, casually swiping on my phone but nothing was really happening.
"Why?" He asked with a smirk tugging on his lips.
"Don't even think about it Michael. Well, he just skipped our first class and didn't come back, nothing really important. I just wanted to check on him" I said sarcastically.
"Oh, that's fine. Calum does that all the time" what now? Skipping classes and school was a huge deal and he didn't even mind my sarcasm. Damn.
"But I still need his address" I stood up and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Fine" he gave up and reached out a hand to me. "What?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.
"Your phone" he rolled his eyes. I glared at him and handed the phone over, he typed in stuff and gave it back. I shoved the phone back to my pocket and opened the front door only to be called after by his mom.
"I'm so sorry Mrs. Clifford, I really have to go. Maybe next time, thank you" I smiled back at her, she smiled and nodded while I got out of their house. I looked for Calum's address on my phone and... where the fuck did he type it in?! I clicked on my notepad. Nothing. A notification popped out and there was a text message from 'Sexy Mikey'
what the hell.
There sent the address of Calum and written at the bottom was 'have fun' and a winking emoji. Whatever was in this boy's head was crazy. I followed the address and hoped for the best. I hope this was right.
I rang the doorbell and on the third ring I heard unlocking and the door finally opened, "who's- what are you doing here?" He hissed at me with a frown on his face.
"Oh, thank goodness. I thought you've been beaten up." I sighed and smiled back at him.
"What? Okay, whatever you say. Now go away" He rolled his eyes and turned around to walk away and closed the door but I stopped him.
"Ow! Calum wait!" I called after him. He turned around and was startled to see me again. He ran back to the front door and tried to push the door close, but I was pushing it too. So we were kind of in a battle right now. He seemed like he was hiding me from something or hiding something from me.
"No! No wait- go away" He shook his head. I could barely even understand and hear him because he was whispering.
"I will just- just- Calum stop pushing the door!" I complained. He shook his head and slam the door in front of me. I stepped back and panted for awhile. "Fine! I'm going away, don't expect me in school. We're going to L.A next week" It was friday so I wouldn't mind lying to him. I'm a bad friend, if I was his friend.
"What?" His head peeped through the now opened door which used to be closed. "Calum who's out there?" A voice from inside called after him. "Nothing.. Just.. Just a.. Nothing mom" He called after still looking at me with disbelief. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah, have fun" I rolled my eyes and walked away. I crossed my hands over my chest and mumbled things inside my head.
Please come after me.
Please Calum.
Calum Hood come after me, oh my god I don't know my way back home!
Please come after me Calum!
Where the hell is the way back home?!
Fuck you Cal.
"Hey! Are you sure you're leaving?" He called after me. fuck yas!
I turned around and faced him.
"Yeah, why? You'll throw up a party?" I said with full sarcasm. He frowned and opened his mouth but closed it again, "you know the way back to your apartment?" He asked leaning on his doorframe.
"Yeah, of course" I shrugged and gave him a weird look. He shook his head and said something from their front door to someone inside. I guessed that he was asking permission from his mom. He jogged down towards me and walked beside me fixing his beanie as he do so.
"How'd you find me?" He asked looking straight on the sidewalk. He shoved his hands into his jean pockets, no reactions seen.
"Instinct maybe? A feeling just-"
"Fuck that. How?" He cut me and shook his head as he chuckles.
"Hey, you're laughing! Oh and Michael" I shrugged and continued to keep up with his huge steps.
"Just don't stick around me, you'll be fine" he said flatly and still looking straight at the sidewalk.
"About what happened in schoo-"
"Forget about it" he snapped at me, he stopped on his tracks and looked at me. "I just, don't want any friends, ok? So stop trying to be one" he continued to walk, leaving me with my mouth hung open. So I wasn't a friend to him?
"Hey! What do you mean you don't want a friend? So what am I to you?" I frowned at Calum while I tugged down at his shirt, stopping him from walking.
"A girl from school who doesn't know the way back home" He shrugged, "nothing more" he removed my hand from his shirt but not violently. He did it gently like with just one push I was going to fall to pieces. The feeling of his hand touching mine was indescribable. There weren't any sparks, no. Just a feeling that you'd love to feel over and over again and wouldn't get tired of it. I wasn't going to make much of a big deal about it now, he might leave me out of nowhere and couldn't find my way back home. That'd be bad right.
"Fine, oh and I'm not moving again" I mumbled and ran after him.
"What?" He hissed.
