"What about this, Mal?" I asked my gorgeous friend, who was looking through the rows of cute dresses, while striking a pose.

"Oh my god, Ally! That's perfect" she cheered clapping her hands together. I smiled returning into the fitting room and shrugged off of the crop top and jeans that I was planning to buy. Obviously, i only had shirts and shorts and some jeans at home and I wanted to look presentable and quite different. I figured Carter was just going to get us to watch a movie.

We strolled around the mall before heading home, "I'm hungry" I groaned and asked Mali if she'd mind passing by McDonalds. She insisted.

"I'm glad you and Calum are like reunited again. You should've seem him when you left. He literally spent the rest of his life avoiding people" she sighed and rolled her eyes, "I always wonder how he could do those things" she shrugged. I let out a chuckle.

"Trust me, I've seen him"

"So how's he been?" She asked getting more interested in out topic, "he's doing good so far. He isn't that grumpy ass he is when we first met in the mall, when none of know we were actually best friends"

We started rambling about different things. Including my date this Saturday which made my stomach flip just by the mention of it. I knew some time I was going to get hurt, but I'll try my best not to fall for Carter. It was one of my fatal flaws.

"Alesia" mom called for me from downstairs, "get dressed we're having dinner at the Hood's"

I bit my bottom lip to prevent myself from screaming in excitement and jumping in my room. I was always excited when I get to have dinner with the Hood's although I see my best friend all the time and his family. Its just a mannerism maybe. What? I've been like this since we were little kids so why bother thinking it over. Its not much of a big deal.

I threw on a flannel and a pair of jeans, sporting some combat boots. I tied my hair up in a ponytail and booger checked myself. Yes. I do booger checks. Get over it, bud.

I shoved my phone into my pockets and headed downstairs where mom and dad were. I didn't have siblings, so I was pretty much a lonely kid. I texted acacia, "i miss you, bitch" before exiting the house and climbing inside car. It was a short drive to Cal's house. No we weren't living across or beside their house, not anymore.

Once I've seen their house came to view, I quickly jumped off of the car and knocked at their front door. Not bothering to take a glance up my parents.

"Alesia, you and Calum practically see each other everyday and you're still excited?" Mom chuckled, I nodded, beaming at her in the process, "I'll never understand you two" she shook her head.

The door swung open revealing a beaming Mali-koa as well. She gave me a quick hug, same for my parents who were entering the house. Cal's mother greeted me and I did the same as well.

"You can drag Calum down here" Mali laughed motioning towards the stairs. I nodded at her and excused myself, running up to his room.

"Get your ass out of bed, you ass!" I called once I've closed the door behind me. I closed my eyes seeing a shirtless Calum covered in a blanket, assuming he was naked.

"I'm not naked, Al" I heard him chuckle. He stood up and wore a shirt over his head, he had sweatpants on. I sighed in relief and collapsed on his bed. Staring at the adorable asian kid standing in front of me. Did I say asian? Oops. I'm so sorry Calum. I hope you don't read my thoughts.

"Please stop undressing me in your imagination, babe" he smirked. I stood up and hit him playfully on the arm and dragged him out of the room like what his sister had just told me to do. He shook his head, allowing me to drag him down the stairs.

We sat together and started eating while our families started discussing about random topics including life, business, love and such. They weren't serious, they actually were just having a laugh the whole time. I didn't realise I zoned out till I was snapped out of it from what I heard, "they'd make a cute couple"

I looked up at Calum who was just as startled as I was. Where they talking about us? I hope they weren't. We were just best friends, we weren't going to turn out as couples or whatever. Those things never work out.

"What's with the looks?" My mom laughed, together with everyone in the table. Excluding me and Cal.

"I hate to break it up to you guys but Al has grown a pair and has a date this Saturday" she winked at me. I gave her a smile, thanking her for saving us. I hated topics like that. I hated it, seriously.

"That's a relief" Cal mumbled. He placed a hand on my thigh, giving me comfort. I felt goosebumps forming at the portion where he touched. He smirked and let go of me. Fuck you, Hood. Oh wait, there were 3 of them. Fuck you, Calum Hood.
