Forth didn't know what to say.
Yo's worried face and Kit's incessant mumbling prayers passed his consience. Pha and Ming were silent, expresionless. The operation room's light were still on. To say he were shocked didn't convey what he felt. He's just numb.
The event this morning made his thought jumbled. From Beam being kidnapped, being hurt and being part of human traficking scheme, Forth didn't know who he were being angry the most with.
The man that made Beam hostage survived with bullet hole on his hand and leg while Beam had to battle the surgery because that insolent bastard accidentally shot his lover at the abdomen. That scum then tattled a lot which turned that rescue mission into a breaking news of disbanding a human trafficking ring.
It turned out that someone all of his younger friends knew was involved and her role were shocking. That girl, the police said her name was Prink, were a slimy delusional bitch. She hold a very active role to choose the 'goods' to be picked and shipped.
The reason she kidnapped Beam and tries to sell him off were also really petty. Prink targeted Beam just because she were livid with Yo who became Pha's lover and need an outlet.
Because Beam were an orphaned, he's an easy target. No one would looked out for him. Hell, he's litterally alone in this world. But her ignorance cost her everything in the end. The effidences were incrimating her badly. Forth felt that was part of poetic justice from the heaven. No sane person shall harm his Bee. Prink could rot in hell for all he cared.
Never in his life Forth detest his business trip this much. A lot of 'what if' started to play in sick rewind on his head. What if he didn't install that transmitter on Beam's birthday gift? What if the location were untraceable? What if Beam didn't wear it at that moment? What if Kit didn't feel it's a priority to contact him? If Kit's frantic phone call last night didn't reach him on time, anything could happened to Beam. They could lost Beam forever.
He's not sorry that he called a favor from Ming's older brother. P' Arthit, being a SWAT captain got resources that he himself didn't have. No more than ten hours after Beam were missing, he were found. Yo's father networking were also a plus to guarantee them access to enter the port.
But Beam's condition were not good.
There were gash on his temple. His back were black and blue. What made Forth blood ran cold were the shot's wound. Thankfully, he were breathing. Beam were rushed to hospital and currently in surgery due to internal bleeding. Forth had to stay outside, waiting for the doctor's verdict.
The moment the light were turned off, Forth left the chair he occupied and rushed to the door, waiting for the doctor to come out.
"Family of Khun Baramee?"
Forth step forward, together with Kit and Pha. The doctor talked to all of them.
"He will be alright. The gunshot didn't reach any internal organs. Though the broken ribs would be a hassle. None of his nerves were affected, even with those wounds on his back. I believed your friends will be fully recover. Just give his body enough time and rest."
The sighs sounded like a chorus. Kit litterally cried a new river with how relieved he felt. Even the composed Pha were a little bit teary. Forth felt tension melt from his backbone and he stumbled to sit down, relief made his knees trembled. Both Ming and Yo moved to console their lovers. Kit didn't even reject the offer and blatantly threw himself at Ming's arms. Yo were being cuddled within an inch of his life by Pha.
Forth threw a thank you to heaven. Beam made it. He will be just fine. Still breathing and kicking. When he felt how hot his eyes felt, Forth closed his eyes hastily. It's still not the time to let the tears fall. He got an injured sweet sugarbaby to take care of.

Beam heard a constant beeping around him. Why were there a constant beeping around him? He tried to move his hands. His fingertips were so cold and his left hand felt numb. Beam tried to lick his dry lips. Wow, his tounge felt weird. What happened to him?
The moment he successfully opened his eyes, the dim light of the room surprised him. Where were he?
Suddenly the memories came back at full speed. An attack. Prink. Warehouse. Beating. Men in black. Gunshot. Fire at his stomach. Beam's body gave an involuntary jerk; he's going into shock. He could heard people's voices rushed toward him, made him more panic. He didn't want to be here but his body hurts everywhere.
Beam felt hands restricted his body and he heard someone gave some instructions. He tried his best to struggle. Suddenly he felt sluggish. His numb hands felt like seaweed. Within minutes, Beam swept away to dreamless sleep once again.

Forth were there the second time Beam woke up. He tried to focus on that handsome face. Forth were sleeping next to him. His tall body bent at weird angle. Beam tried to say something but only rasp could fluttered from his mouth. Even with that little sound, Forth blinked his eyes open so suddenly and snapped it toward Beam.
The moment their eyes met, Beam could see how tired Forth was. His face was gaunt, there were dark circles around his eyes. Forth reached out to touch his cheeks and the moment that hands touched his skin, tears started to fall from those eyes. Beam only able to blink weakly.
"You got one hell of explaination to do, Beam. But I'm so glad you finally open your eyes. Never made me waited this long again, na."
Beam could only blink. Wow, he felt like floating. Did painkiller always made the patient hazy like this? Feeling Forth's squeeze at his numb hand, Beam tried to squeeze back. God, tired. With that small squeeze, Beam were whisked away by sleep. He got a recovery to catch up. When he got his wit back, someone better explained a lot of things to him.
