It's been a week and Beam was bored beyond reason! He was trapped on this bed and being an active person, he detested it. No wonder there were people who hate hospital. Being a patient sucked big time.

Beam huffed and tried to reach for his new phone. His old one was detained by the police as part of evidence. Prink's capture were the dessert of the event. She were detained only two hours after the raid at the warehouse, right at her apartment.

She even tried to act innocent but when her patron name were mention, Prink just started to scream like banshee and tried to escape. It sounds to stupid it was funny. From what Beam heard from Yo, his dorm never felt more secure ever since.

Beam tapped his fingers to his wrapped abdomen. The stitches were starting to itch. Which was good and utterly annoying. Road to recovery is long and assholishly curvy. He missed Forth badly too. His lover only got three days before being whisked off to meetings and business trip.

Beam wondered when he could exercise the needy lover card. If hia plane this afternoon was delayed, Beam will use everything on his arsenal to bring his man home. Beam need him, dammit! Ever since his surgery, Beam felt restless. He didn't use to feel so.. handicaped. The first two days were the worst. Beam could see how his condition affected his loved ones.

Kit got the darkest panda eyes Beam had ever seen on his face and Pha looked like he will keel over to sleep for weeks. Thankfully Ming and Yo were capable lover. Both juniors tried their best to haul the respective boyfriend to eat and rest and let Forth took care of Beam, which Beam appreciated a lot.

After that heartfelt words, Forth stayed within his reach for the first twenty four hours. It helped, somewhat, to control his reactions regarding his near-death experience. Beam sent a thankful prayer to heaven.

The doctor told him all he need to know at his post surgery visit; things that only doctor-patient could share and Beam knew how close of being shipped to afterlife he were. If his bestfriends read his medical report, Beam were pretty sure they will camp outside his hospital room.

But his life time seemed to be extended somewhat. Beam turned his head to the watch which laid at the bedside table. He knew there's something special about that piece and the one who confirmed his suspicions were Yo.

It's in the middle of the day when Yo got his class cancelled and chose to visit him at the hospital. The VVIP room were huge and comfortable, eventhough still smelling like hospital.

"Oh, P'Beam... never put this kind of surprise again to our hearts, na. I felt my life span got discounted for fifteen years. Thank God P'Forth embedded that transmitter on your watch."

Beam only blinked at hearing those words from Yo. His lover did what?

"N'Yo, what do you mean with transmitter?"

Beam's low voice made Yo slapped his own lips. Oppss. Was that supposed to be a secret still? But seeing Beam curious stare, Yo decide to tell him the truth. Beside, there's no other explaination how they could find P'Beam location that fast, right?

"Hmm, well, you did hear me, P'. That's the reason how we could tracked your location and arranged your rescue so fast. In abduction case, the first 24 hours were the most critical time. P'Arthit, that's Ming eldest brother, told me that if that time frame were passed, it will cut the chances to find the victim."

Beam sighed at hearing that. What Yo said were.. utterly reasonable and Beam were grateful. But that doesn't mean he had to like it. He could protect himself, thank you very much.

At seeing Beam weak glower toward the watch, Yo gave him his sweetest smile. "You know P', that kind of protection actually a very real proof about how much P'Forth loved and cherished you. Don't freet at that level of protectiveness. It's better than having a personal bodyguard following you around, right?"

Beam gaped at hearing Yo's words which made the boy giggled. Who does P'Beam thought P'Forth was? Oh, such a naive person. But P'Forth chose a very resilient person as his heartkeeper so Yo will pray his best for their happiness. Besides, who said Yo didn't put a tracker on P'Pha either? There were reasons why Yo chose that discontinued bracelet anyway. Hmm, Yo wonder where Ming will embed his transmitter. It's better safe than sorry anyway.

Beam huffed again when he remembering that conversation. The meekest always turned out to be the most surprising. For someone as shy and sweet looking as Yo, it's surprising how well he could infused his backbone with steel. Love was a very strong dopping, really.

Beam reached that watch and flipped it. There, right at the back, the engraved words could be read. 'A guidance to my heartkeeper.'

Now Beam understood the real meaning of those words. Beam traced the words slowly with his thumbs and prayed that Forth will be here on time. Beam needed his heartkeeper to come back soon; safe and sound. Beam put that watch back to its place and chose to rest his eyes. The gleaming sunlight lulled him to dreamland.
=============================

If he could chose, Forth would went straight to Beam's hospital from the airport but alas, he had to drop by at the police station. Forth already put quite a hold a P'Arthit request for proper meeting and update.

It turned out that Beam's abduction were only the tip of the iceberg. The rescue mission actually opened a new can of worm about human-trafficking and made the headline news. Thankfully P'Tee and his uncle could masked Beam's involvement and kept all of them, civillians, away from such spotlights.

Forth listened carefully to what this young officer could share regarding that case and what Forth heard made him wanted to bash several heads onto the table while P'Arthit jaws locked so tight it seemed to be hurt. What baffled Forth was when the officer glanced at P'Arthit and started to.. squeezed his elbow. Like how a lover would calm their raging partner.

He blinked at witnessing that. P'Arthit huffed and stared right at his eyes, dared him to comment. Forth, being the suave man himself, only gave him an understanding smile which made the officer chuckled.

"I believed that's all for today, Khun Jaturaphom. I'm sorry the details were vauge but that's what we could share to you. I hope Khun Baramee will have a full recovery."

Forth gave them his greetings and went to the hospital. So, that girl, Prink, was involved with some deep shits. Not only she knew about her patron side business, she was also actively involved by chosing and lurring targets to be abducted. That kind involvement already warranted her a very long time in jail.

Beam were indeed very lucky.

If Forth didn't equip him with that transmitter and if Beam didn't wear that particular watch, who knew where he was right now. Only imagened it already gave Forth a queasy feeling. A chime from his phone attracted his attention.

"Miss you. Could you bring me mango sticky rice when you visit? And my kisses?"

Forth laughed at reading that message. Let the circus rolled without them. Well, he got one sweet sugarbaby to coddle and pampered, anyway.
