Yesterday I was reading City of Glass, and came across this. I decided to share it with you guys. No idea if anybody has already said this, it's probably already somewhere on tumblr, everything is on tumblr. Anyway, here it is:

Page 521, City of Glass, starting 4th paragraph down.

"How was the meeting?" Clary asked him now, giving him a once-over to see if he'd dressed up for the celebration. He hadn't, but she hardly blamed him-the jeans and T-shirt he had on were all he had to wear. "Who'd they choose?"

(Simon's anwer is the important part. Just thought I'd give you a background)

"Not Raphael," Simon said, sounding as if he were pleased about it. "Some other vampire. He had a pretentious name. Nightshade or something."

THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE!!!!

This is a Vampire, meaning he could very well have been bitten millenia ago, and that is what I'm going to assume. We can also assume he had a Greek background. This means he has relation to our late huntress, Zoe, and the other Nightshades!!!!!!

I practically was exploding as I wrote this. Just thought you should know. Also, earlier in the book, I found this:

Page 50, end of page, continues onto page 41, City of Glass:

"So you speak french?" Isabelle sighed. "I wish I spoke another language. But Hodge never thought we needed to learn anything but ancient Greek and Latin, and nobody speaks those."

And reading this I was like, Gurl, you are sooooooo wrong about that. If only you knew....

Anyway, that was it for this chapter. A couple of discoveries. You had to have read the Percy Jackson series and at least up to City of Glass in the Mortal instruments to understand both these comments.
