You stared at the breathtaking structure in front of you. It was elaborate and extravagant, you couldn't take your eyes off of it. You all were impressed except for Shiro.

"Everyone, keep your guard up," he implored.

"What's wrong?" you looked at him with concern.

"My crew was taken by aliens once, as long as I'm around, I'm not letting it happen again," you eagerly walked out of the lion, the rest of the team following behind you. The group stared at the entrance, it looked like it belonged to a giant. Before a word was said, the lion jerked its head toward the sky, causing you all to flinch.

"It's going to eat us all!" Hunk exclaimed.

The creature let out a monstrous roar toward the castle. You looked forward to see the entrance became lined with blue designs before opening itself. It revealed a dark, hollow hallway.

"Oh, the door opened, thank you," Hunk let out a toothy grin towards the mechanical beast.

You walked cautiously inside to see the interior had the same design as the exterior, except nothing lit up, it was dark and gloomy, as if it had been vacant for some time. Pidge led you all to a set of steps, they didn't look as if they were made for the lion, but for a human.

"After seeing the lion, I would have expected that these steps would have been larger," Pidge questioned. After a second of silence, the ceiling lit up, shining a bright, fluorescent blue energy force on you all. You heard a computer automated voice speak.

"Hold for identity scan."

You heard gaps as your bodies were then scanned, starting from the bottom of your toes, to the tops of your skulls.

"Why are we here, what do you want from us!" Shiro exclaimed towards the ceiling. After the scan, the castle room's lights were activated. It soon revealed another dark hallway which soon illuminated light.

"I guess it's hinting that we're supposed to head that way?" you stated as you shrugged your shoulders. Pidge walked in front of you all, you could tell he was the most curious about this strange alien structure. You walked along bridges and down a flight of stairs, each step adding another light source. All you were able to hear was Hunk's voice echoing as you descended. You soon turned the corner to reveal an empty room. All that laid was some sort of control panel and circles across the ground.

"What's this place?" Lance questioned as he walked around.

"It looks like it's some sort of control room," Pidge puzzled. He lightly touched the control panel before it lit up. Shortly afterwards, two pods had been lifted from the ground, revealing two shadowed figures. You tried stepping forward to investigate, but Keith held his arm out, blocking you from going any closer.

"Are these guys, dead?" Hunk whimpered as he hid behind the control panel. Before anything else could be said, the first pod opened. It revealed a beautiful woman laced in a blue, white, and gold gown. Her long, white hair complimented her dark skin tone. She had some sort of headband on, but the thing that interested you was the light pink arrows that laid beneath her eyes. She stayed in utter silence, before gasping awake, revealing her beautiful ocean-blue eyes.

"Father!" She gasped, before falling forward. Before hitting the floor, Lance was able to catch her. Her face came close to his, you could see the blush creeping up on his face, his goofy smile getting the best of him.

"Hello," he flirtatiously spoke.

"Who are you, where am I?" she asked confused.

"I'm Lance, and you're right here in my arms," you face palmed at his attempt at flirting with a lady he'd never met before.

"Your ears," she paused, she went to touch the tips of Lance's ears, you could see the confused look in his eyes. "They're hideous, what's wrong with them," she pulled her head back. Lance looked appalled.

"There is nothing wrong with them! They heard exactly what you said about them!" Lance exclaimed. Before they could continue bickering, the woman grabbed Lance's arm, twisting it behind his back, and slamming him into the ground. You winced at the sudden violence.

"Who are you! Where is King Alfor! What are you doing in my castle!" she furiously remarked.

You swept past Keith's arm, going face to face with the mysterious woman. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up lady, I don't know who you are, but you have absolutely no right to hurt my friend! All we know is that a blue lion led us here as we had gotten away from being chased by aliens!" You retorted. Her eyes soon grew wide.

"How did you get your grubby mitts on the blue lion! What happened to its paladin! What are you all doing here, unless..." she paused, suddenly looking sorrowful. "How long has it been?"

"We don't know what you're talking about. How about telling us who you are, maybe if we know who you are, that could help us," Shiro comforted the woman from afar.

"I'm Princess Allura, from planet Altea. I have to find out where we are, and how long we've been asleep," she stepped forward to the control panel Pidge had touched earlier and placed her hands on either side. It showed a holographic screen.

"So that's how that thing works," Pidge mumbled.

"Wait, who's we?" you asked. You looked to the side to see the second pod had opened to reveal a man. He was ginger, with a mullet, and a bushy mustache that held its spot above his lip. His suit resembled the same colors of Allura's dress and he had the same arrows under his eyes like she did. His arrows, however, were bright blue. He looked calm until he looked around to see all the new, unfamiliar faces.

"Enemy combatants!" He yelped, before lunging at Lance, who was smart enough to move out of the way. "Quiznack! You're lucky I have a case of the old "sleep chamber knees." Or I would have grabbed your head like so.." he held his arms close to his chest.  "One, two, three," he snapped his fingers, "Boom, sleepy time."

Lance laughed. 'Well, before you did that I would have-" he started doing some sort of karate moves, grunting as he went. They continued their bickering as you stood next to Keith and the rest of the group.

"Wow, they're good," Hunk replied, earning a punch in the shoulder from Pidge.

"No, it can't" Allura gasped.

"What happened, Princess?" the ginger man questioned.

"We've been asleep for ten-thousand years!" Her eyes grew wide, her expression looked worried, and agonized.  "Planet Altea and every other planet that was home in our solar system have all been destroyed," the two grew silent, staring at the floor. "Coran, Father is gone. Our entire civilization... Zarkon." She cursed. You looked over at a Shiro who looked frozen.

You placed your hand on his shoulder which caused him to wince.

"Zarkon?"

"He was the ruler of the Galra, he was a vile creature, he was a monster that terrorized all the people of freedom," she remarked. You could see the anger and sorrow mix together on Shiro's face.

"Shiro, what's wrong?" you asked concerningly.

"Zarkon. I was his prisoner."
