"What do you mean, I thought you said there were only five lions that formed Voltron?" Pidge acknowledged as he held his hand on his chin.

"Yeah, and what do you mean, I am the white lion, does that mean my hands become mechanical lion paws under the shadows of the glowing moon," you smiled as you nudged Keith's shoulder with your elbow. You could see the ends of his lips curl up, but he tried hard not to let it show.

"Maybe the princess should have rephrased her sentence. You, yourself, are not the white lion, but you are holding the essence of it," Coran gestured his eyes towards the white gem that had laid itself on your chest. You gently grasped it in your palm.

"Are you saying that this tiny gem holds the entire white lion? I find that hard to believe," you claimed, rolling your eyes.

"As you have been told, each lion chooses its paladin, but it chooses it because of their personality, or how the lion and the paladin's quintessence match.  The black lion is a natural born leader, unlike the red lion, who is temperamental, and a risk-taker. The white lion is a healer," Allura moved her finger, slowing passing a holograph of the white lion.

The white lion was absolutely gorgeous. It looked as large as the black lion, as if it was the same, but at the same time, a complete opposite, a yin-yang in a sense. Instead of each of the other lions, where their colors were separated with white pieces of metal, your entire lion was covered in white, metallic paint. It had a long, luxurious tail, with a light blue, crystal tip, matching the other lions.

"When my father first created Voltron, he created the original five, the ones that laid before you," the princess intertwined her fingers, laying them on her waist. "But, that wasn't enough for father. He decided to create a weapon, that on its own, was nearly unstoppable. He created the white lion. This lion, when added to Voltron, it became the hero's saver, its healer in a sense. The lion somehow gave everyone the strength to fight, to never give up, no matter the task, while also giving them the sense of love and being wanted, it could do what very few humans had the ability to do," she smiled as Coran came behind her, placing his palm on her dark shoulders.

"I'm still slightly confused on how this tiny jewel is holding this robotic creature thing," you speculated as you gave the jewel a gentle squeeze.

"When a lion chooses their paladin, it's because of their personality, who they are as a person. What's absolutely remarkable about this lion is, it doesn't choose its paladin based on their ungodly intelligence, or their ability to a lead a team with absolute confidence, it chooses them, based on the love in their heart," Coran beamed.

"Their love? What do you mean?" Shiro asked. His forehead wrinkled in confusion.

"The lion doesn't just open to their paladin, they have to prove their worth, or more, their love. The lion will choose you, after they see your heart. Seeing if you are willing to sacrifice for the one you love most. To see if you have the ability to emit unconditional love. Being a shoulder for someone to lean on, and being there for a lover when they need it most. You need to prove to your lion that you can love, not by saying it, but rather, feeling it," Coran paused and slowly made his way up to you, taking your shoulders in his palms, and staring close into your (E/C) eyes. "Once the lion feels your heart, like magic, she'll appear from thin air."

You gawked, you'd never been responsible enough to boil water for your ramen, let alone help an entire galaxy of innocent civilians who needed their planets restored.

"Well, what are we waiting for, if the aliens are on their way, we need to get the lions, and get prepared," Lance hustled.

"You're exactly right Lance," Shiro remarked. "Princess?"

"Right now, I have the coordinates for the yellow, green, and black lion. Unfortunately, the black lion  can not be accessed unless all the lions, excluding the white one, are present, and I still haven't found the red lion" She reiterated.

"Alright then, Pidge and I will go find the green lion, Lance, you and Hunk go out on the search for the yellow one. Keith and (Y/N), if the princess finds the coordinates for the red lion before I get back, go out and bring it back," Shiro ordered you both. You nodded your head softly, and watched as both pairs prepared to leave in the their pod and lion. As they were ready to leave, Allura stepped to the middle of the room and placed her hands on the two pedestals that laid beside her.

"We will only be able to keep the wormholes for lions open for two hours, so you will need to be quick about your work. The good thing is, it seems as though both planets have a relatively peaceful community," Coran directed. You and Keith watched as both teams entered the wormholes.

"While they're gone, I assume we can look around at the castle," you suggested. You could see Allura looking back at you both out of the corner of your eyes.

"Coran, show (Y/N) one of my gowns so she can change out of her, sleepwear," she chuckled. He nodded and quickly came to your side.

"Oh, okay, stay here Keith, I'll be right back," you flashed him a grin.

"Of course, take your time, we're not going anywhere anytime soon," he chattered, his eyes sparkling along with his toothy smile. The way his eyes shone always made your heart flutter, but you never knew why. You followed the tall, ginger man to the long, hallow corridors. You were soon lead to a small room with a two large doors on the side, you assumed this was the closet that held the gowns the princess was talking about. Coran slid the doors to show beautiful, extravagant ball gowns.

"The princess said you may choose any of these, I'll leave you to try them on, feel free to come back to the control room after you're finished here," he curled his mustache as you gave him a small grin. He left the room, leaving you and the million of choices of dresses to wear.

"Here goes nothing," you laughed as you looked at the first dress.

None of the dresses seemed to fit your style, they were either too long, too poofy, or just plain ugly. You slid the dresses along on their hangers before finding a dress that caught your eye. It was a white dress that was decorated with peach flowers and black leaves. The dress was the perfect length, going to right below your ankle. The shoulders of the dress were open, exposing you (S/C) skin, it seemed to outline every one of your curves, making you feel confident and pretty. You were able to slip on the black flats you'd thrown on before Lance flung you out of your dorm. After pulling your hair into a braid with the hair tie you had around your wrist, and adjusting the necklace, you were finally able to head out into the control room, even if the outfit wasn't as comfortable as your pajamas. You began your way back to Coran.

"I'm back," you smiled as you entered the room. Both Coran and Allura looked back at you smiling.

"Beautiful," Allura chorused, Coran beamed in agreement.

You looked over at Keith to see his opinion.

"So, what'd ya think?" you brushed your hands against the waist of the dress. You waited for a response but all he was able to do was look at you star-strucked.

"You look, absolutely gorgeous," his cheeks turned the same shade as the flowers on your dress. making you turn away in embarrassment. His eyes sparkled a beautiful shade of purple which made you continue to blush.

"Thanks," was all you were able to spurt out. He rubbed the back of his neck, seeing as you both didn't know what to say. You looked out of the corner of your eye to see him admiring you with so much curiosity and kindness, you couldn't hold back your goofy smile anymore.

You looked down to look at the floor, but then became distracted by your necklace, it seemed to be glowing. You just looked at it, maybe it was just the light shining on it. You brushed it aside, not knowing it would happen again, that same evening.
