Chapter 9- Anti Vs. Negativity

Martin Li woke up as he looked around and found himself in an office. "Oh, good," snickered Mister Negative. "You're awake at last." Martin stared at Mister Negative with fright. "Y-Y-You're Mister Negative?" stuttered Martin. Mister Negative smirked, "And you are Doctor Martin Li. Renowned doctor, philanthropist, and Remnant's greatest saint." Martin asked, "What do you want from me?" Mister Negative replied, "I already have what I want. And I wish for you to witness my ultimate triumph." Martin asked, "Which is?" Mister Negative showed him a vile that had a serum that was glowing white. "What is that?" asked Martin. Mister Negative replied, "I, for a long time, ran the Inner Demons. Just as how you have been running your precious F.E.A.S.T. Kitchen." Martin glared, "If you're implying that we are the same, you're wrong!" Surprised by his words, Mister Negative stared at him. Then Mister Negative chuckled darkly, "You have no idea, do you?" Martin looked at the powerful crime lord as Mister Negative smiled at him distastefully.

Anti-Venom had been working alongside with Frank Castle Sr. aka the Punisher to take down the Inner Demons. They learned that Mister Negative owned a drug cartel at the docks. One night, they were driving in the van and Punisher asked, "Are you sure you want to face Negative head on? What if your friend Marty is already dead?" Anti-Venom answered, "I won't know until I find out." Punisher asked, "You really do care about this guy?" Anti-Venom nodded, "Yes." Punisher said, "Okay, we're almost there to the docks." Anti-Venom opened the door and climbed out as he said, "I'll check for snipers." Then he leaped away as Punisher parked the van and went to gather as many weapons as he can.

Anti-Venom climbed on a crate being carried by crane as he used his senses to search for any snipers. Anti-Venom then did spot four Inner Demons with sniper rifles. He placed his hand on his ear and whispered, "Four snipers. I see them." Punisher replied back, "Bring the rain." Anti-Venom nodded he leaped down toward the first sniper he saw and broke his neck. He retreated away as he saw two other snipers and back flipped between them while turning his arms into blades and stabbing them. Anti-Venom then retreated away as he went to the last sniper and sliced off his head. He placed his hand on his ear and reported, "Snipers taken care of." Punisher said, "I'm going in."

The Punisher slammed his foot on the gas as the van went speeding into the dock smashing every Inner Demon henchman and unloaded boxes of drugs. The van swerved to the side as the Punisher got out and began blasting his assault rifles at the Inner Demons. Anti-Venom joined suit as he fought against a few henchmen. Then Anti-Venom saw an Inner Demon brute with glowing black and white gauntlets came jumping down and hitting the ground with a black and white energy shockwave. Anti-Venom leaped away from the wave as he posed for a fight. The brute swung but Anti-Venom dodged it. He shot a web line to an empty box and threw it at the brute. The brute got dazed as Anti-Venom then did a couple punches and kicks. The brute snapped out of his daze as he swung at Anti-Venom again. Anti-Venom kept dodging until the brute got tired. Then Anti-Venom punched the brute and finished him off with a kick. The Punisher walked up to Anti-Venom with a dazed Inner Demon henchman. Anti-Venom grabbed the henchman and demanded, "Where's Mister Negative?" The henchman chuckled, "I'll never talk." Then the Punisher shot his calf and stepped on it. The pain made the Inner Demon groan out, "Okay! He's in a penthouse north of here!" Anti-Venom asked, "What about Martin Li?" The Inner Demon answered, "Still alive last I saw. In Mister Negative's office." Anti-Venom then web swung away as Punisher dropped the henchman and went into his van while muttering, "Damn, I wish he would stop doing that."

Anti-Venom stopped web slinging until he saw the penthouse. He saw Inner Demon snipers around the building. Anti-Venom used his senses and detected both Mister Negative and Martin Li in the same office. He saw a window leading to Mister Negative's office as he suddenly leaped and crashed through the window. Anti-Venom saw Martin Li tied up in a chair in the shadows as Mister Negative greeted, "Welcome Eddie Brock. Or do you prefer Anti-Venom?" Anti-Venom snarled, "Give me Martin Li." Mister Negative chuckled as he said, "Li and I have been talking to each other. I decided to tell him the secret even he didn't know. Of how you and Kasady became what you are today." Anti-Venom growled, "What do you mean?!" Mister Negative answered simply, "I sabotaged your treatment. Poor Marty didn't know until it was too late." Anti-Venom demanded, "How?!" Mister Negative smirked as he pulled Martin out of the shadows. To Anti-Venom's surprise, it wasn't Martin Li. It was a dummy. "Where's the real Martin Li?!" shouted Anti-Venom. Mister Negative laughed, "You see, that was Marty's reaction of when I told him about the secret." Anti-Venom yelled, "What secret?!" Mister Negative answered, "That Doctor Martin Li and Mister Negative are one of the same." Anti-Venom couldn't believe what he was hearing. "No! That's impossible!" yelled Anti-Venom. Mister Negative nodded, "It is the truth."

Flashback to two days ago, Mister Negative's POV

When the two good doctors Martin Li and Maria Crawford were creating a treatment for you and Kasady's cancer, I was watching the whole process. When Crawford left, I took over and tampered with the treatment to act as a mutator than a holy cure.

Arranging Marty's kidnapping was my plan. To misdirect the security camera surveillance, I took over and replaced Marty with the dummy you see here today. In exchange for my help to collect you and Carnage's symbiote, my business partner gave me a cure of my own. A cure to cage the good doctor Martin Li and me, Mister Negative take over dominantly.

Present Day

Anti-Venom couldn't believe what Mister Negative was telling him. Mister Negative laughed at Anti-Venom's disbelief expression. Anti-Venom growled as he forced Mister Negative to the wall and yelled, "I'll kill you!" Mister Negative smirked, "And how are you going to do that without killing Martin Li?" Anti-Venom hesitated as he knew Mister Negative was right. Instead, he let go and web swung away into the night.
