"Retard."
Nathan stopped what he was doing
And looked at Henry in confusion
He had no idea what the elder boy
Called himHe tried asking Henry
What he meant but
The elder boy just burst into laugher
And walked awayFilled with curiosity
Nathan proceeded to ask
His elder brother what
The word meantHowever his brother was silent
And simply told him to ignore HenryNot wanting to back down,
Nathan continuously asked
His brother what the word meant
Until he finally gave inNathan was not pleased to know
The meaning of the word
And why he was given that nameIt turned out he was called "retard"
Was because
Of the way he actedHenry hated how children acted
They were just so dumb
Nathan was no exception
After all,
He just turned sevenNathan was behaving like how
He should behave
No one should fault him
Yes, he might misbehave
But there was no reason
To hate himSo why are children disliked?
