A Confession

A young teenager has a passion
She loves to write
She loves how her stories come to life
The place she writes
Is neither on paper or typed out
It is in her mind
She tells stories that
But no one apart from her listens

One day,
A friend introduced her to an app
An app where stories are born
Intrigued,
The young girl wondered if it was
A good idea to create an account
It did not take her that long
To come up with a decision

Everything was good
The girl wrote some stories
She wrote and wrote
And followed many accounts
She followed and followed

Even though not many people read
Her work,
The girl was still contented
As there were a few that appreciated
Her stories

When the girl was venturing
In this mysterious world,
She came across various accounts
With many followers
Many people read their books too
There were also people that sang
Compliments with all their hearts

The girl did not think much about it
And continued to write and follow

However,
As the months went by,
The girl could not help but feel lonely
Despite almost reaching four
Hundred followers in less than
Two years,
Not many people read her stories
Or to be more accurate,
Not many people
Read her other works
There was a particular book
That attracted attention
But that was it
The other books did not get much
Attention

The girl even started feeling lonely
Even though she was surrounded
By followers
No one actually messaged her
The least they did was to follow back
The girl noticed that
There were others who had
Little followers,
But they bonded with their readers
Tremendously
And made friends

After seeing all of this,
The girl wondered how did she
Get this outcome?

Even so,
The girl continued to write
And told herself to stay positive
However,
That was not enough
From preventing the tears
That followed suit
